Thanks Charles....what beautiful shots! #2 shows a lot of emotion, very nice. I also really like #4...great comp and you captured a lot of great elements. Look at those fingernails!!!!!
Yes, those Videos are hilarious. I can't hold laughing once I heard aperture ring section. He said number jump unevenly from 11 to 16. and he prefer use some even number as 4. .
If this guy has good humor and purposely made this funny video. I'd say Bravo...
Though I can't confirm this.
Ryan, The 2nd is my favorite.
Charles, The whole second set are very nice. I like them all. especially the last one has very good composition but I do feel the last one has tilt a little bit to right side.
Here are few from Yesterday Morning. 50lux wide open. My first formal shot other than test focus.
From Parking lot. wide open
I love this lens very much so far, The Bokeh is very smooth but not boring to me. immediately, It reminder me my ZF351.4 after I see the outputs. How 50lux pre ASPH can be even more smooth? I need more time/use to draw conclusion of rendering at different distance and aperture. Based on what I see so far, it definitely sharper than my Sonnar at 1.4, but even with Sonnar, I don't have much complain about wide open performance. Enough is enough for me. I am more sold on rendering.
don't want myself too excited as I don't have enough experience using it yet. But love it very much.
Ryan and Michael, thank you guys
Michael, congrats on the 50 Lux! Very nice portrait shot The 50 Lux is legendary, only limited by the photographer!!
Hilmar, very nice series! Love the #2 of the 24 Lux, and the 50 Nocti shots
Ryan, nice portrait and composition!
Tobin, congrats on the M9/35 Lux!!!
Michael:Very nice pictures once more - I like both of them, regarding content, composition and B&W conversion. But first and foremost I want to congratulate you on a truly rare gift: the pictures of your children are really oustanding, by far not only nice for the familiy album, but they are well composed and in particular show the personality of your children as well as different aspects of childhood in general. As aforesaid, that's absolutely rare and highly admirable.

It is purple fringing, a lens fault.
I was thinking now with the 5D3 catching up to Nikon and correcting aberrations in camera Leica might get around to it in 10 years. It's nice that PF never shows up on film.

I've never seen a satisfying explanation for purple fringing and why it only shows up on digital. Whatever the cause, it's pretty nasty looking.
I hate that I get it only on the 50 Noctilux ASPH, a lens so expensive that it should have come with a technician just to remove it from my files.
Hahaha. I don't like that lens. I've shot one picture with it, which came out ok, but I just don't like it. Apparently I'm all alone in that opinion though.

No I'm right there with you...
Charles, I'm very impressed with both the quality of your images and the subject matter. Would you mind sharing a bit about your approach? Do you usually strike up a conversation with people then ask if you can photograph them?
Gary, love the last shot!! The ZM 18 is a great lens, a definite must have
Kelly, many thanks!! In the case of the riverside temple, Wat Rakang Kositaram, I had only an hour there, but it was late in the afternoon about 4pm, and the temple closed at 5pm. In many ways it was better as lighting was great, and the monks were present, as they were there for prayers at the close of the afternoon. My approach has been always to approach people where possible, and if I don't, I don't act embarrassed if I am caught in the act. I now only use my 24, 50 and 75 Lux, that I now have a very good feel with, so I do get the shots quickly and very unobtrusively, more quickly than I did with the 5DII and ZE lenses. Yes I do strike up a conversation, and it is a lot more rewarding when you do have a connection, as the expression of the people do change. At first, it can be somewhat more stilted, but given a few minutes, the expressions are very real and open
Hermann, You make me looks better than I really am. I really appreciate your generous comment.
Thanks for all the comments.
Seekuh, This is a nice series of showcase of Leica lens. I like the one with 0.95 at train station. Self-portrait?
Ryan, I am drawing to Model's eyes. Nice portrait.
Tobin, congratulation for 35lux. Share more photos
Kelly, I like 2nd and 3rd the best, but I'd like to crop out left bottom of 2nd foto.
Charles, I like first portrait of previous page. Lighting and tone are very good, I seems get to know him through his kind eyes.
Gary, these two shots show impressive optical performance of 18. Somehow, the house seems thinner than it should be
Continue my Lincoln park picture a week ago. Leica made me feel more comfortable to point the camera to people. From distance, It looks like just another P&S tourist camera.
Just scanned the last 7 pages. Why is there so little 35cron action?
I'm looking into a M-system so I'm thinking about starting out with 1 or 2 lens(es)
Michael, thank you! Really nice set. Love the composition of the first and last shot
Xtobolic, no reason why the 35 Cron is not here Excellent choice in a lens!
