Ron - great colors in that set, love the shots with the red. Really sticks out against the sky. The one with the red doors, green grass, blue sky is my favorite.
Ash - I very rarely like the selective coloring, but for this shot I think it works well. I would hesitate against shooting DNG + JPG as you can achieve the same results (actually better) with 5 min of pp
Gary - Is that the CV 90 f/3.5? I heard that lens is razor sharp and rivals the best of them. Look good to me, like #1 a lot
Joe - thanks for the CV 35 info. Shots all look good to me. Definitely worth a consideration. I actually put on my CV 35 f/1.2 lens yesterday and thought, 'wow, this thing isn't that big' . Then I remembered I have been using the 75 Lux
To piggy back on Ron's trick...in LR4 there is actually a much better color slider when using the adjustment brush. It is MUCH better in LR4 than LR3. Selecting your area and sliding it more towards the yellow will get rid of it very easily
Charles - I recognize her . Very nice portrait, what rendering!
I used the 35 Nokton....and stopped down
ok....well, I did take that one shot.....here are more with the 75 Lux
Thanks Charles. Very nice portrait! The 75Lux has many personalities
Ryan, 35 1.2 stopped down? Sinful Looks like the flowers area already blooming where you are! Nice set especially the 75Lux shots!

Joe, I like the result of the selective WB brush. Looks very good to me. Is there a red color shift on the lower left corner though?
Thanks, LR4 is definitely an improvement. The red color shift is due to wrong coding. When I lift the shadows its very apparent on the left side of the image. I used 35CronIV setting and it does not work well on the CV35/2.5 lens. Still experimenting.

Thanks Ryan and yes, it is the f/3.5. I wouldn't call it razor sharp but it is quite sharp nonetheless. As with most CV lenses, build quality is exeptional. I am still trying to get the hang of focusing these longer RF lenses....
Besides really amazing photos on this page (rscheffler - colorful houses are just wow and charles.K potrait just melted me ) anyone noticed that theres a lot of possible moiré sources and.. no moiré present? I kinda wonder where Nikon made mistake with D800E.

Thanks! I just shot a job, corporate type stuff with men in suits, and let me assure you, moire is still an issue... Though luckily a lot of it was available light at wider apertures where there just wasn't enough critical sharpness for it to pop up in every shot. If you shoot a lot of fashion or people wearing clothes stopped down, I'm not sure the M9 would be a wise choice without first testing LR4 or Capture One for their moire tools.
But so far, with the stuff I've been photographing while walking around, moire hasn't been a major issue. Once in a while there is some false color in fine tree branches, but nothing that bothers me. I think with the D800E being double the pixel count, moire should be less of an issue than the M9, and will depend a lot on the lenses used, aperture, etc.
One thing about fast lenses is it's very tempting to shoot a lot of stuff wide open, or close to it, for the look. And naturally this also inhibits moire.
Ryan, great sets! I especially like the figure in #2 and 3 on the previous page. I'd come to Savannah just for that cemetery (is that where it is?). Are there many cemeteries like that in your area?
ocean2059 - looks nice.
joakim - that's a great one! Love the framing and the contrast. Works very nicely in B&W.
Joe, Boris and Mescalamba, thanks guys
Joakim, great shot! Love the composition and movement in this shot
Ryan, loving your 75 Lux shots!!! Another 75 Lux groupie Love that first shot
Ron, another great series! Love how you compose great shots from seemingly mundane scenes.
Ajay, wow...stunning shots and PP'ing Definite favourites are with the 24 Lux, and of course the BMW!!
Ron - yes, it is our most popular cemetery here, Bonaventure Cemetery. There are a few in town that have the statues and such....but Bonaventure by far has the most character overall. I love #1 from your last set, the texture/detail and shadow of the handle are just perfect.
Ajay - really like that last portrait, the 24 Lux sure is special!
Ajay, great interpretation of the BMW Welt architecture and love the Florence ones as well.
Ryan, I also really like #2. Good to know about the cemetery.
Charles, very nice layering.
Here are a few local cemetery photos from last week:
M9, 28 Cron for the first, 50 Lux x2, 90 Summarit.
Sorry I can't comment all the images for last several pages.
Joakim, This is awesome image. Very dramatic. The water splash add dynamic to the foto. B&W emphasis the subject of the scene.
Ryan, The #1 of first set has very nice color and rendering. and last of 2nd set has nice composition.
Ron, your sets of past several pages of door and window are nice, your PP make every single photo are interested to see. The same compliment applies to your cemetery series in this page as well
Charles, Another wonderful image. Very nice composition and PP. I envy you have a such nice scene available everyday to take.
Ajay, I like them all, very nice PP. I see wonderful color and tone in all of the images. I feel your PP make them very similar to Nikon color I use to, which is a compliment. Especially, the last portrait image. Very very nice.
I am still not quite used to Leica's raw output, or maybe is the Raw setting of LR3/4. Again, I have to say Leica's raw file are very demanding. I can trace its color/signature in most of the leica's output. I am still working on improve myself on that. This may just personal preference in terms of color and I agree leica's output more close to film.
B.T.W, I put stock notification yesterday on Kurland photo about 35&50lux, and got a phone call today that they have 50lux in stock on black. I ordered it. I feel the lens shortage will be over soon. 35cron and 28cron are already in stock everywhere for a while. some exotic lux may still be hard to get by but I feel Leica will clean the floor of lens shortage soon since digital M booming.
It makes no sense to pay more without any warranty for such a expensive purchase. Now I hope they have no 35lux for another 6 month before I can digest the cost of 50.
Ron, nice texture with the 90 Summarit in the door/wall set, from that set and also other photos you posted recently it looks like a very good lens.
Ryan, very nice set with the 75 lux.
Ajay, the last one is great.
Charles, very good multi-layer composition in that photo.
Joakim, excellent shot! I like the B&W tones as well.
Ryan, more excellent shots with the 75Lux.
Ron, that first door shot is superb! Love it. I can smell the wood and feel the texture The 28Cron shots of the cemetary are also really nice.
Ajay, the first and third shots are really nice. Love the angles on #1 and the lighting on #3.
Charles, love the composition on that 75Lux shot. You always seem to be able to find nice cloud formations!
Here's an older one with M9 35Lux ASPH V1 from Kuala Lumpur. Not sure if I posted this before.
and continuing my "ghost" series, this time with a "new recruit". CV 35/2.5.
Zhangyue, another ecxellent set! I like the compostion on #1. Also that Sonnar shot is beautiful! Finally, congrats on the 50Lux. Share some shots soon.
