I never plan to buy any Leica, am buying SD1 Merrill soon, but looked at Thomas portraits: faces with souls , I re-think again I might get both, as SD1 Merrill droped the price so I can afford for X1 and SD1 together. Those pics switched me on .
Charles, your 24lux beach set is really nice. especially the last one.
NomadicTy: 50lux flower shot is beautiful
Seekuh, The whole fog set is nice. 2nd is best to me.
Joakim, #1 and #2 have really nice compose.
RyanFlynn, Nice portrait.
Some shots to share. I wish I have more time to shoot and improve my PP skill. Given the time available for me, I can only dream to get some inspiration here and Zeiss thread and shoot as much as I can
zhangyue and Joe, thank you guys
zhangyue, nice set! Very graphic and haunting depiction of the tree
Joe, yes I think you might regret not having the 35 Lux!
As I've gotten more interested in this hobby, I've wondered if I should make time to educate myself on what is objectively 'good'. On the other hand, as I go through these shots some of them leap out at me and some don't, which, I think, is fine. My approach is similar to my taste in wine: I may not know what is good, but I know what I like!
Outstanding sets Charles, both of 'em. Love the atmosphere.
Seekuh, nice shots of Odeonsplatz. I was there two weekends ago, completely different atmosphere. I also went to that Leica store down the street from MB gallery after a two downer at Augustiner Keller
Joakim, nice shots. Very cold. Last two shots for me.
Thanks Ty, Carsten, Charles, zhangyue, Joe, kkcsm and Ajay
Ryan, I like that portrait.
Zhanghue, nice b&w set
kkcsm, interesting use of shadows.
Charles, great photos from Eagles Nest. Looks like an interesting place for photography.
I also noted the new lens profiles for LR 4 and the upcoming CameraRaw 6.7 but I haven't had time to test them yet.

Joe, my son Dan, would love to have a M9 if funds permitted, but is very happy with his Nikon D7000
Oh, he only needs to wait until the M10 is released and I'm sure there will be a M9 or two to pick up cheap in the neighborhood
Kelly, 2nd is better for sure Make a little bit of more black level ?
Charles, Like both of your 28mm shots and the 24lux wide open one really show off the lens

Ryan, I love both shots. Curious, was the lens flare in the portrait an effect you were going for? Or just a happy accident? Either way it works for me.
Thanks! I figured the flare would happen, but it was more subtle (happily so) than expected. I like flare, as long as it accents the photo and doesn't dominate it.
Could you elaborate on the difference, or would it be possible to post images to show the difference? Love your 28cron images, I am still waiting for my mine to arrive. The 50mm is going back to the dealer BTW, thanks for your help.
Andrew, thank you It is difficult to see the difference unless I set them up in different tabs (Luka's expertise ) The lens correction does seem to affect a good portion of the central section of the image.
