wow Steve. On a side note, comfort muzzle or not, that is really trusting a pit. I wouldn't, but then I was bit by a Pit pup once on back of leg. hurt like $%^T%$%$#@#.
Strong dang dogs. Needless to say, for me, they are fear factor.
Beautiful scape Charles. You have great material there.
nice sillouette ll,
All, can you sign your posts with a name? That is helpful when trying to complement someone on a shot. monikors can be so difficult to remember.
Thx Doug - Did u change ur alias recently? I usually remember people who post summilux 24 pics -- more please
Steve, sweeps up the great shots in the streets and of Boston daily lives. great work.
Charles, yet two more outstanding shots, thanks on the 24 lux, I'll appreciate it more when I get it paid off. ouch.
My brief time with it has given me a few hints of it's greatness. It's renderings can be soft and Leica like, or they can be crisp as the morning air. The colors as rich as an artist's palette, and as vibrant as you could hope for. The blues of skies without any enhancement are so spectacular. A the color, detail, and contrast is just amazing. That shot of the restaurant above, I know it is not necessarily that great a shot, but the quality of it, handheld, the detail is so amazing, I wanted to show it as part of the lenses capability.
I am really amazed with this lens so far. That close up of the Mexican pottery (I do not recall the name of these) shows some real nice bokeh of my yard. Amazing. The tree is mine, so it's nice to see the detail of it. Ok, the tree is on my property, but I am only it's keeper. How can you own something that was born before you? :-) This is one old oak, I tell ya.
Thanks Charles. I got an itch for a new lens, and I went to see what I could find. I found a nice used 35 lux, but it wasn't the new edition. I was about to try to proceed on it, and found the 24 in stock. It was the only new Lux I saw in stock anywhere that I looked. It was in stock only a day to a day and a half. I bought on a Saturday, by Sunday they were sold out.
Hello all, sorry I've been away for awhile. Taking a break.
Going back a few pages,
Steve (Shtarka1), nice to see you posting here!
Martin (Makten), you got yourself a M8? Congrats!
Doug, nice to see you back as well.
Charles, I've probably lost track of your lens arsenal, nice shots with the 24Lux!
Paul, nice shots with the M9 and 28Cron.
Dan (thrice), M9 for motorsports? Cool and perhaps brave!
Luka, I like those abstract shots a few pages back, interesting with the blue ropes.
Great to hear from you Joe!
Lovely shots everyone - i can't keep up with this thread, the action moves super fast.
My contributions are below - all with 35 lux v1 - from a set i could call 'Everyone seems to be passing me by" (lol)

Martin, really nice shots! Particularly #1. Love how the colours get drawn out with the 28 Cron
Thanks! The Cron is fantastic, but very different from the ZF lenses I'm used to. It's not particularly sharp wide open, but the global contrast and colors are there all the time.

Makten, Pretty comps!
Thanks! I really like your last shot, with the shouting guy. Where is that? The "T" sign looks exactly like those for the Stockholm subway.

Yeah! I thought I'd try the rangefinder thing once again, and this time it works much better. I don't know if I was unlucky last time, but none of the lenses I tried focused correctly, and all were off in different ways. The CV lenses started back focusing at large distances and the ZM 35/2.8 did the opposite, while all were good at MFD.
I think I'll buy and M9, but I'm a bit worried about focus. I don't want to send everything away. Either I'll keep the 28 and add a 50, or sell it and buy a 35/1.4 as a one and only lens.
