Charles, very nice shots with the 90Cron APO. I like the rendering of the lens. Prefer the B&W versions of the first shots you posted but the color one from above is excellent.
Luka, very nice street series with the X1, I like #4 with the guards best. You're doing a great job with the X1 and street shooting
Ryan, not missing the D700 yet but I miss my 85 f/1.4 AFD
Thank you Joe! Love the 90 APO I prefer the colour shot above also, but I added the B&W for comparison. The shots of my son, were under bright fluorescent lighting, so the colours will never be quite right, so I preferred the B&W.
Luka, love these street shots. The colour shots are my favourites this time!
Here is a random shot this morning with 90 APO, f/2.0, and below is 100% crop of the image.
Luka, aren't you glad that sometimes you have the X1 with you and not need to lug the entire DSLR kit around?
Charles, interesting one with the bee and plant. What plant is that? The 90 Cron APO seems to be an excellent lens.
Just from testing the past few days, the auto white bal on my M8 seems to be better than the M9.. I'm getting funny colors with the M9 if I shoot indoors with Compact FL lighting.
Joe, the plant is a "black boy", very Australian The auto WB should have improved with the latest firmware update. Maybe set it manual, so you get more predictable results.
Great street shots Luka. I prefer the color on those.
Charles, I like the new 90. Since you were looking for the Leica glow, I'm a little surprised you didn't go for the pre-APO particularly considering the price difference. I like the shots though.

In this case I did lug my DSLR around as well. I only used the X1 while scouting for interesting things to shoot. Although it has its use I still don't particularly like it. Leica has announced at Photokina that they will release a firmware for it in the near future and I'm hoping it will improve it a bit.
Bad weather this week and haven't had the chance to go out and shoot. So, I'm posting some pics taken this past Summer , hope you all don't mind.
Here's one from Rockport, Massachusetts. Not tack sharp as I accidentally shot at f2. I saw this group relaxing and recognized the form of the picture from Cartier-Bresson, Sunday on the Banks of the Marne, 1938. Had to take it M8 Cron35IV
Thank you Ryan Love the 90 APO. I really wanted this FL lens for the rendering of portraits. The 90 Elmarit is very sharp and clinical but just does not have the same feel.
