Dierk, nice images! Love the farmyard/barn set. Just to be clear for everyone here, your Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f/1.2 Aspherical images are with the first version? It would appear to be so in the pbase set since they're all taken a while ago.
you are right, Ron. I got the lens second hand early 2010. As I was lucky to buy a 35 Lux during 2010 I plan to sell it soon (was just too lazy to prepare the offer for ebay )

FYI, please ignore what I posted earlier. Gaudy is super pissed about grey-market lenses so Ron only sells locally in Taiwan . Cheers.
As for the new version of the lens it is very nice. Sharper than my 35 Lux ASPH, but with much lower contrast. Nicely focuses down to .65ish on my M9. It's still to big for me. With the hood the finder intrusion is severe. Nice lens though but I'd rather have the even smaller than my Lux, the FLE Lux.
@Brody LeBlanc,
if you happen to read this, would you please erase the image tags in the above quote? It fills the page without any further information.
Thanks, dierk
Great shots all! Nate, I agree, the Nokton II is sharper than my 35 Lux ASPH and I prefer it in every way BUT size. The lower contrast is there, but allows for a lot more room in pp. Ron, more shots are on my camera waiting to come off...I have company over so time is tight right now. Hopefully tomorrow. I will say, the focusing down to .5 is a huge benefit and the focus throw is absolutely perfect to allow for precise focusing. I seriously havent missed focus at f/1.2. I do use a 1.15 mag
one more from me
two examples with the new Leica Summilux-M 1:1,4/35 mm ASPH. FLE
sorry, not open, stopped down to 5.7 and 2.4
PP: LR3 basic adjustments and sharpening (48,1,36,0)
Ajay, those 28Cron test shots look good! The 4/280 is superb!
Dierk, more excellent shots from you! The 75Cron works really well for portraits, including the one with the dog! Nice pics with the 18 Elmar, although I think with the M9 you don't really need HDR if you pull back the shadow details on a single exposure? I like the cool tones from the second 18 Elmar set.
Broody, congrats on your M8! Looking forward to more shots from your new lenses.
Corporsant, nice shot with the Ektar. How do you find scanning Ektar 100? I am having trouble getting the right balance of skin tones/ color with Silverfast Ai and my Plustek 7600i.
Ron, love all those NYC shots, really hard to pick a favorite. The colors are absolutely stunning, not to forget your great eye for compositions. If you crop the person on the right out, the guy with the Gant bag could be a commercial shoot
Daniel, nice shots from the Nikkor 10.5cm. Nice smooth rendering, colors looks nice too.
KL, did you buy the 35/1.2 V2?
Joakim, excellent set with the orange strips! #1 is my favorite, nice composition.
Charles, excellent set. I Like tree shot with the 28Cron.

I just got back some of my scans from NCPS. I must say I am impressed with the quality considering these are their budget scans. I made some quick comparisons with my Plustek 7600i and the NCPS budget scan holds up pretty well.
Dierk, more excellent shots from you! The 75Cron works really well for portraits, including the one with the dog! Nice pics with the 18 Elmar, although I think with the M9 you don't really need HDR if you pull back the shadow details on a single exposure? I like the cool tones from the second 18 Elmar set.
thanks, Joe.
the 4. image is without HDR. If you compare the 1. and the 4. picture, the clouds are less crisp without HDR - and I like clouds!
more portraits with the Leica M9 ,Leica Apo-Summicron-M 1:2/75 mm ASPH.
Hey guys, I'm sorry that I'm not commenting on any images - I haven't had the time to look through them. I've gotten a bunch of PM:s asking me if I was alive, and I'm answering them collectively here: yes, I'm alive, I'm on vacation in Croatia and will be so for the next few weeks. I haven't had time to check the forums.
I have not done much photography in the past week, but I did take a couple of shots today during a visit to the Plitvice lakes national park. It was however very crowded so I didn't manage to take many shots as I was using a tripod. Here's one anyway:
First time really working with filters on the M9 - a bunch of stacked ND's and a circ pol.
Instead of taking shots, I did manage to do something else: bang up my camera. I dropped the M9 with the 28 Cron on concrete. The 28 Cron got the worst of it - it still works but I can't mount any filters on it.
Fortunately it's all insured.
The M9 took a hit as well but I've done some tests now and my preliminary conclusion is that the rangefinder did not get knocked out of alignment. It did get a mark though. For anybody doubting that the M9 is made out of brass:
Nice wear on that M9 now! Mine is bras sing nicely. Let me know if you're interested in unloading that cronies when you get the insurance money. I don't use filters anyway.

Ron you need a credit card without forex fees.
Does such a thing exist?
Charles: Nice textures in #1.
Nate: thanks for the size comparison. Sure the CV35 is big... but look at how huge the various 35 f/1.4 DSLR lenses are: Samyang (hearing great things about this one for the price), Z*, etc...
Ryan: understood & no rush. Enjoy the long weekend!
Dierk: excellent continuation of the farm set and very nice portraits too!
Joe: those scans look good to me and really like the one of the grass.
Luka: thanks for checking in, though I was not one of the concerned (at least not yet, but was beginning to wonder). Very nice quality in the water and lush colors overall. Sorry about the equipment mishap! Glad it wasn't any worse. I'm sure many would argue here that a filter would have saved the lens... but then, perhaps the broken glass would have scratched the front element?
Joe and Ron, thanks
Joe, very nice film shots! I really the gentle tones with the Ektar, particularly the shot of the field, and bold colours with the Velvia.
Dierk, excellent series from the farm! Amazing portrait set Love the lighting you achieve with the soft boxes.
Luka, great to see you alive I did not doubt for a moment, as we all have other parallel lives. Beautiful tones and colours with the timed exposure! Sorry about the mishap!! At least you have your gear there with you taking shots, and it is insured
Ron, excellent street shots! Love #2 and 5
Joe - very nice Ektar shots. #2 is great with the grass blowing in the wind!
Dierk - more great portraits. I love what you do with B/W
Luka - excellent shot...surprised to see you stacking filters on the 35 Lux . That sucks about the fall....now it looks like mine .
Ron - nice street shots...great series you have been posting from NYC. #2 is excellent!
So Ron...I have a ton more but they are loading right now. All 35 Nokton and all WIDE OPEN. I am absolutely shocked about how sharp it is wide open. The contrast is lower, but it isn't bad at all....and nothing a slide on the contrast bar can't help out with
Sorry about the same model....don't have any more that are very cooperative
