Joe, very nice set! My favourite is #2 as you captured the glaring look, very classical
Gregory, fascinating set!
eos3d, beautiful set of captures! Great to see shots with the M8 too
Joakim, very nice moody shot!
Luka, love this set from Las Vegas! Very well captured atmosphere!! The 35 Lux is one of favourite lenses for low light work.
Luka, your shots from Las Vegas are incredible. That 35 1.4 asph in your hands is pure magic!
Charles, your pics from Bangkok are always wonderful, you always capture the spirit of Asia in a beautiful way. They remind me of my family in Vietnam and of the streets of Saïgon.
Joe - great use of shadows again...and great job getting the guy in the blue shirt with the blue background
eos3d - nice sets. My favorite is the Harley. Great locations you have taken the M8 recently I see
Joakim - another nice pic from the lake
Luka - Nice set from Vegas. That place is like another world within the US. Last time I went I wasn't much into photography but I can definitely see how that is a street photographers dream. The nuts on the street make it interesting enough and then you have the buildings and performances that just add to it. Crazy place. Yes, that first shot sums it up pretty well . The best thing about that place is you will never need a tripod
Charles - excellent series from Bangkok! Your processing is just out of this world - great job . I don't think I have the techincal ability let alone patience to get my shots looking like that. #2 is definitely my favorite
Nate - nice set. That ZM 18 is unreal! Great sharpness and colors! Great rendering on that first shot
Technician, eos3d and Ryan, thanks guys Much appreciated!
Nate, fascinating and dynamic set!
Ryan, really nice shots! I see the 50 Lux is glued to your M9 too
The new Ricoh M mount module is great option! This is a serious contender as a backup. Really hope it specs out.
But why? It's still an ASP-C and the base Rioch GX is rather outdated by now. Why would one choose that over a NEX with an M-mount adapter? Am I missing something?
Luka - nice set. Particularly like the simplicity of #2

I agree, should have come out with a new sensor if finally making M mount lenses available. However, the GXR has no AA filter and supposedly has microlens corner correction, helping with the wide angle red edges. Not to mention, the other A12 modules (28m and 50mm in particular) that are out are far superior to what Sony has put out to date with the NEX. I admit, the supposed NEX 7 plus Zeiss 24 will probably make this GXR announcement pointless
Edit: Just now saw the NEX 7 specs posted....looks to be real deal
Eod3d, nice set with your M8. Love the colors and composition.
Jaokim, nice B&W scene with the 35CronIV. Very serene.
hehe.. Luka does the streets .. in L Vegas Nice set and you really captured the "kitsch" of Vegas with that first shot. You do get lots of golden light there thought, like in your 2nd shot! The last set with the 50Lux is excellent, especially the door and light shot. Are you testing us with #3?
Najibs, congrats on your 35ConIV. Great lens!
Charles, wow, love the colors from this set, especially on #1! The picture of the monk is excellent! Peaceful.
Nate, nice set, love the colors on these.
Ryan, more nice 50Lux ASPH shots, excellent set. I especially like the composition of the green/white door.

The Ricoh GR is kind of a cult camera in Japan and there are lots of Leica fans there, so it makes sense for Ricoh's market, I guess. I'm a big fan of Ricoh GR film cameras. Check out Daido Moriyama's work:

Luka, why is your third shot upside down?
It looks better that way and gives a different perspective. The right way up it was pretty pedestrian, but this way it almost gives me vertigo - a sense that I could fall down (i.e up)

I guess you are aware that this is how the great masters taught composition? :or are you secretly yearning for a large format camera?

Heh, no on both. I was actually processing another shot and something about the composition was off. So I rotated it 180 degrees and it worked better:
I then did the same thing for that architectural shot which I thought was OK but not very interesting. Turning it upside down made it interesting
I've got something else - a cross-post from the NEX-C3 thread. There's nothing particularly interesting about the content or composition, but I got some surprising rendering from the 35 Lux ASPH. Rather noctiluxish (old f/1), don't you think?
