Joe, thanks Usual business trip to Thailand is about 9 days, and leaving back to Oz tonight. I have been invited by the Buddhist priest from the first day to his monastery for lunch, so it should be interesting!
KL, thanks!! Yes, I went to meet the senior Buddhist priest, 88 years old, and I ended meeting all the other priests from around Asia. One was the head Buddhist priest from Indonesia, the other from Burma. Another from the mountains North of Thailand. The first shot was head priest of the meditation centre in Bangkok. My next visit to Thailand, I have been invited to take some meditation lessons with him at his temple in Bangkok, and I have also been offered to be taken by the senior priests to the North East of Thailand, in the jungles to visit some of the remote temples. This was nothing more than a chance meeting when I first arrived, taking the shots on the first day of the senior priest.
Simply amazing, Charles. Your images make me really wanting to visit Thailand, never been there. Thank you for sharing the story of your lunch meeting.
