The first image from scanning with my new macro lens. It gives a perfect 1:1 60mpx resolution. At least when editing this lack of crop does seem to improve grain and texture. Also this Sigma lens is flatter, with less distortion and sharper in the corners than the non macro lenses with I tries with extenders that could also provide 1:1 full resolution scans. better results, with the small additional expense.
Interesting comparison between tradition Italian historical and contemporary dressing. They don't conflict as strongly as one might expect.
Just testing my new Q3 Monochrom yesterday at my friend's house. We closed all the blinds to make it very dark indoors, and then I upped the shutter speed to 1/2000, f/1.7. This was taken at ISO 64000. Apologies as imgur is going to compress the heck out of this, but this camera continues to impress me at how usable ISO 64K can be. The Q3M can basically see in the dark.

This image was shot on my M6, with 28mm Voigtlander f/2.8 Color-Skopar screw mount lens using Ilford HP5+ 400, developed in the Lab-Box with monobath, and scanned at 1:1 resolution 60mpx DNG file. I applied a very slight Color Grade to the image as a final step.

BTW, I still like shooting film, but B&W, once scanned, has more grain than what we would get from an enlarger.
So I duplicate the base layer in Photoshop, apply AI noise reduction, and then set the opacity to 30–70%.
There’s still some grain, but it’s exactly what I want, with more detail—or at least the impression of it.
