I have been using my 50 mm apo summicron quite a bit on my new M11 EV1 since that is my idea of a single lens carry, but today I decided to step back and use my 1966 vintage rigid. For a 60 year old lens designed for film I am always amazed how well it holds up on a 60 mp digital that could not be conceived of at that time. This is the Catalina foothills in Tucson AZ at sunset. For a few minutes the colors glow the saguaros take on a green hue embedded in the orange red of the mountainside - I often sit and wait for the moment when the glow is maximum and the rigid's glass can be used to advantage.
For all these years that I've been shooting Leica, I've never owned a Leica lens. That changed today with the arrival of a beautiful LNIB 35 Summilux FLE II. Of course, my first shot has to be of Nora.

How in the world is that possible? You picked a good first start. Next you need to get the 50 Lux. Even if you aren’t typically a 50 shooter, which I don’t think you are, there is some magic in that lens that test charts don’t let you know about. 24-35 is my sweet spot on Leica, but the 50 Lux ASPH never lets me down whenever I pull it out

Well, Voigtlander makes some excellent glass and at a more attractive price. Still, I've always wanted a Leica lens. I have two 50mm lenses, Thypoch Simera which renders very similar to the 50 Summilux, and a recent addition, the Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.
As luck would have it, I came down with a flu bug at the same time I received my Leica 35 Summilux FLE II. I mustered up the energy to take the dog for a short walk with camera and lens. Nothing art worthy here but a chance to play.
