It's nice being able to compose the shot through the EVF rather than the LCD on my M11. It feels much more immersive to use the EVF especially for a wide shot like this one, IMO.
The Cathedral and Monastery San Giovanni Evangelista is stunningly beautiful in both architecture and frescoes painted by Correggio and Parmigianino. Though the population is very small compared to historical times there are still Benedictine Monks living there. While they don't take a vow of silence they practice silence as a religious discipline. They do sometimes speak during allocated time and in certain spaces, but I have yet to have one speak to me. When the Cathedral is open I sometimes see one of the Monks reading at this table near the altar.
They do not seem to mind having their picture taken as they are probably used to it from the visiting tourists. The lighting inside is low but rich in depth and texture. This shot at f/2.0 1/100sec ISO 5000 with my SL3 and 50mm Summicron L APO.

Some mornings it is worth looking out the window and grabbing the camera seeing the light developing to catch the "decisive moment"- Leica M11P (Safari) and Leica 50 mm apo summicron. The backside of the mountain, about 35 miles from Anchorage was the epicenter of the recent mag 6 earthquake.
