Gotta dial up my game, Pro Stop coming to town in January. New Show Court still under construction ... gonna be great.
These were all shot ISO 800 around 1/250 f/2.8. Personally, I dig on the motion blur ... but, I likely should start shooting a little faster SS, (and bump the ISO).
First time I've tried shooting with Autofocus (new Siggy) instead of M primes. It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't bad either. The zoom range however was a nice feature, as the action moved from backcourt to mid-court.
Chinatown SF... Leica M8 and 7-Artisans 35mm f2 II
...Maybe it's just the nature of a low resolution and APSH sensor, but the 7-Artisans lens punches way over the $240 price point!
As I posted earlier, I went to Chinatown SF to test out my new (to me) M8. While old, my camera looks young. I purchased it with "heavy wear," but I can barely see scratch. Chinatown is very colorful with many murals and lots of people. I'll post some street and people images later, but I wanted to share some of the color coming out of the camera.
Because I am normally a wildlife and landscape photographer, I have grown accustomed to doing heavy edits to correct for color. Yes, the M8 is old and a low resolution camera, but colors coming out of it are amazing. Other than adding two stops of light to the underexposed walker against a neon mural and LR NR, nothing was done to any of these pictures.
The colors are so rich and vibrant... simple DNG to SRGB and that's it.
There are many confessional booths in the Duomo of Parma. These days there is only this one that I think is ever used. But I have never been lucky enough to be able to photograph it in use. Today it finally happened. It is behind a wrought Iron fence for privacy that I didn't violate. No actual Parishioners, but it was staffed by a very patient Priest who nodded approval when I signaled asking permission to make a photograph.
Took my M11M to the cemetery, choosing my 35 steel rim reissue for it's non-APO qualities when shot wide open - lens flare, soft dreamy yesteryear look.
