I have been out in Anchorage trying to predict where the bears will feed on the dying salmon in Rabbit Creek in Potter Marsh a local wetland, the bears are out only very early. This photo is with a Leica M11P and a VM F1.2 Nokton at 6400 iso. This captures my eye view in the still dark morning with bear moving downstream looking for breakfast before the city wakes.

Great early-morning capture, Eliot, I'm guessing from the safe vantage point of the Potter Marsh viewing boardwalk. I can almost smell the dying salmon from your photo. Should you ever want another body along for early-morning safety, let me know and it would be great to meet! I'm a little too nervous hiking on my own at dawn and dusk during salmon season.
