From today’s bike ride around the lake.
How do you like this lens?... I have an M10 w/ a 50mm f2.5 Summarit-M and thought that the 28mm f2.8 Elmarit Asph would be the perfect 2nd lens for this body... The size is perfect and it looks to be sharp enough for detailed and handheld landscape images.

Downtown Minneapolis this morning. It was snowing with big fluffy flakes which made for some interesting shots.
This is a beautiful set... After 34 years in MN, I'm almost a year gone and miss the state. I lived in Stillwater, and days like the one you've shot are among my favorite ones to be outside with a camera!

Hi Bruce,
In short, it’s an absolute favorite. I love the 28mm FL, and also use and love the Summaron-M and Lux. The Elmarit is the Goldilocks. It has modern rendering (sharp, contrasty) and is as good (or better) than than Lux from 2.8 on. The Summaron has more vintage rendering. As you noted, its size/weight is the cherry on top. I don’t use the hood and the lens barely extends more than an inch from the body. Highly recommended.

Very kind of you to say! I was just in Stillwater Friday. I moved to Minneapolis after a couple of years in Chicago and it's been a change but a very pleasant one for the most part.
Agree with you that snowy days are a lot of fun, especially in these lovely older cities with so much historical architecture.
I have less than no interest in football, I know completely perverse.
But I do have interest in people watching the game so I took myself (together with my M11 Monochrome/35 cron APO) to one of the bars around Duvall Street. Here are some snaps.

Great shots! Looks like people were having a lot of fun and [mostly] didn't notice you.
