This is our neighborhood restaurant. We go there almost once a week. This past week the owner passed away after a fight with cancer. He loved this restaurant. Over the past 5 or so years he owned it, he turned it into a neighborhood gathering place. My retirement party was held here. The owner was such a nice guy, always a smile on his face, always a gracious host. He will be sorely missed.
Sometimes out street shooting colors just go together easily. This one assisted with my small Godox Im30 manual flash that just seems made to shoot with M cameras. It gives me the same light control I find so useful on the D-Lux 8. Only $34 too. Don't let anyone tell you that 21 is no good for shooting people either.
Sort of surprised to see a homeless person's tent and belongings in a passageway under Cressingham gardens. Sad testament to the country today as this is a partial council run estate
I always enjoy talking to other photographers when they ask about my camera-
I often ask if they have used a rangefinder before- The answer is almost always yes- I handed my camera to a guy we talk to often at a bar in Portland we frequent- He of course had used Rangefinders before at least he said he did
It becomes apparent quickly when they just look at the LCD screen and snap a photo- Luckily for this shot, I was at F/8 and it was in focus It was obvious he had never picked up an RF before-
The M11m high ISO is so crazy good. No added noise reduction and ISO 200K - Nothing special to write home about but enjoy the image for what it is- Fred’s ISO readout for Exif won’t go high enough but this was shot at ISO 200000
