The pup reminds me of a very olde tv commercial in the B&W tv tube dayze "Double H", The "olde saying" by a dog, which is often used in a playful or cartoonish way, is "Which way did he go, George?". This phrase originates from the classic cartoon "Of Fox and Hounds" where a hound dog named George is constantly asked by the hunter "Which way did he go?" referring to the fox they are chasing.

I remember that! Riley actually had a leash on in both those pics, but the miracle of generative AI in LR allowed me to remove it.
