Is the heavy cyan cast intentional?
Yeah, I wanted to make the orange of some plants and the light to pop. The jpg from the M9 leaned that way already, I didn’t go for the raw for I didn’t mind that look.
have you ever tried the 24 Elmar? Curious how the 21 SEM compares to my 24. I love my 24 Elmar, but some times I wonder if I would be better off with 21 compared to 24

Sorry but I have never tried the Elmar so cannot compare the two.
I can say that the 21mm SEM is a super lens in all respects. I think I would find 24mm too close to my 28mm so I chose to go with 21mm.
Scenes from the Dalmatian Islands in Croatia. Biking along the sea with great views, visiting a winery and dipping our toes in the Adriatic. The D-Lux 8 is a wonderful companion on the bike.

exactly my thought....as good as the 28s are, I don't use them because I'll take the 24 or a 35 instead. They'd definitely get more use if I had a 21 instead of the 24
Thank you Steve. It’ll be a long long time unfortunately. For now I’m satisfying the wants with my ZF and Voigtlander 35 and 58.
I’d have to sell my z8 and some lenses for a Leica. Not willing to at this point. But maybe someday I’ll tuck enough away for an M. 1bwana1 wrote:
Glad you enjoyed the image. When you get another Leica, which is likely to be soon, I am looking forward to seeing your images again in this thread.

for what it's worth: I have the 21 super elmar, and can't say enought great things about it. It's my go to lens on sunny days, stopping down to f8 or f11 and turning the camera into a point and shoot where just about everything is in focus. Here's a sample of images I shot with it. https://brick.smugmug.com/Photography/2024-5-18-Asheville-UNC-farmers-market
