Had some medical issues after a long trip to Peru and been laid up...Haven't been able to shoot much until recently. Things are getting better though and It's nice being on the mend.
A few from the last week or so with my m10r
A new Rick to play, shot with my (new to me) 50 Lux ASPH.
Some cool foliage out on a walk in the woods (Indian Pipe, Ghost Flower, Ghost Plant, Whatever you want to call it) with the 35mm FLE
In our neck of the woods, the Huckleberries are bright red. (FLE)

I apologize!!! I used the wrong word! I didnot mean to imply it was a "staged" pose! I am sorry!
I meant how her "person" is profiled facing the camera!

I love the "Rick" in #1. I play a Fender Jazz Bass 1970 and a Gibson EB-1(1969). Nice "set up"! Comfy!

Tell me! All my mother's family(Serrastreta), female wise, were beautiful and as you say, fine but dont get on the bad side of them!

Here is an example of an image I would likely never have gotten with my M11, but my little D-Lux 8 handled with ease. This is a full frame capture, with no crop except to straighten the image.
I saw this guy about to walk through a narrow patch of light inside the reptile house at the San Diego Zoo. Being set to single shot I was going to have only one chance to get it all right. This was going to happen a bit far away so there was no way I would get the shot with one of my wider primes like the 35mm I usually have mounted on the M11. With the D-Lux 8 I was able to instantly zoom to a 75mm FL.
It was going to happen so fast there was no way I could bring the M11 to my eye and use the Range Finder to focus fast enough. This was compounded by the very low light available so I was shooting wide open which is f/2.8 at 75mm on the D-Lux 8. At 75mm at f/2.8 the DOF on the M11 is super narrow. Very difficult to manually focus a moving person in that DOF. I really didn't even have time to bring the camera to my eye, so I quickly composed off the rear screen and shot from about chest level sitting on my scooter. The D-Lux 8 AF hit focus spot on.
Finally because of the high resolution on the M11 and the lack of stabilization I need to shoot at 1/500 sec to ensure no motion blur from my shacking hands. With the D-Lux 8 I am a full stop slower which helps lower ISO and noise.
As you can see, the D-Lux 8 captured the opportunity very well and produced an image with tons of detail, no noise or DR issues, and tack sharp. I am having a fun time learning this little gem of a camera!

I was hesitant to buy the Rickenbacker, there's nowhere to just try one out, but now, glad I did.
I own/collect a bunch of electric guitars but have just 1 bass, happens to be Gibson EB as well (mine's almost new 2017).
