I am amazed at the amount of disconnect in many of the people here Allen! The little lady and the man walking seem to be the only ones intune with their surroundings! And this disconnect it not just here but everywhere! Just don't get it brother!

I came across this interesting gentleman sitting on a wall in the old section of Florence. He was traveling with his family. He says that as a merchant sailor from Scandinavia he explored the World. He jumped ship in Australia many decades ago, and has spent the rest of his life happily there. Interesting character. I think he still keeps the look of a sailor about him. He was kind enough to pose for a street portrait for me.

I fell in love with "the Land Down A Lo" when I 1st went there(1970) and had the intention of moving there in the 1970's after my military obligation was up.
But "life" took me on another path. If not for that I also would have "jumped ship" for "Oz"!
