Some pictures of animals taken at the Oakland Zoo with the Leica M11 and 135mm APO-Telyt. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the images turned out so thought I'd share. The colors and details turned out to be quite good.

Today I shot a Brother Sister pair of models who had asked our local photography club to shoot some street style images for their portfolios.
I took my Sony A1 kit with a collection of GM primes. It males for a reasonably large and heavy bag of gear. In the past, I have always used this kit to shoot this kind of thing because of the high performance AF system with all its bells and whistles.
On the way out the door, at the last moment whim,I decided to hang the M11 with the 35mm Lux on it around my neck just to take a couple of shots during the day. Since it was a simple posed shot, I decided to use my M11 for the first shot of the day. Well, I ended up shooting the whole session with the M11 and the 35mm. The Sony kit never came out of the bag. I loved the shots I was getting, I had no trouble focusing or keeping up with the 10 or so other photographers all using AF systems of one type of another. I didn't use zone focusing today, everything shot and focused through the Range Finder. I haven't seen a shot I missed yet, but I will likely find a few when I look through the whole shoot.
At the end of the day it struck me how much my photographic style, and the way I see and shoot has changed since I started tying to learn the Leica M camera. It just seemed so natural and seamless to shoot that way today. I don't know whether I have also developed a "look" bias, but I really do like the rendering I get from my M11 and lenses.
I just found the whole experience interesting on a personal level.
I will also mention that I will always be grateful for the coaching and encouragement the M photographers here on FM have given me during this adventure. You guys know who you are.
Anyway, here are a few sample shots from today. I tried to mix up style and look so the models could select what they liked.

Great job and in my opinion when you find something that really fits the way you see and work it is truly magic. I feel the same way about my Ms. Keep up the good work.
