This guy lives full time down by the Boardwalk. Yesterday at sunset he was having a nice session with what he calls his "coconut herb bong". I asked him not to smile when I took his portrait, but he just couldn't manage that. I wonder why?
Just got me thinking about Purple Mountain Majesty (special time of day / low angle lighting situation) and LA smog (haze). Wonderin' if he saw some of that "purple haze" sometime. I know the lyrics lean a different direction ... but, it is kinda "trippy" to see, and the right conditions make that purple come out. Dig the OP, not the "correction".

Hey I don't mind being busted on! Fer realz, I didn't notice the purple so it is good for that to be pointed out! When you spend all days on the computer your eyes see what they see...
I love watching the antics of the "non beach" people when they start playing by the water. They have a blast, but it seems the ocean always wins the game in the end. Ever spent an afternoon in wet sandy blue jeans? A horrible experience.
