The couple on the boardwalk caught me taking their picture. So, I offered to do a portrait of them to keep things positive. I love the way the M11 and Leica lenses render people. Even with a non portrait lens like the 21mm Super-Elmar the portraits a so nice. You just have to get close, and keep the lens level to minimize distortion.
Aurora NC. is a small town that is located near a Phosphate Mine and is the largest mine in North Carolina. The company hauls huge loads of sediment from the mine and dumps it across the street from the Fossil Museum.
People travel form inside and outside the state to dig (all free) for fossils and many do find a lot of small and large (Megalodon teeth have been found) shark teeth and other bones and such.

DOF is a new LightRoom feature. I usually don't do such things, but they wanted a portrait so it was the look I was after, and I was too lazy to switch to my 50mm Cron in my pants pocket. When do a shot for someone else that I will never use myself, I sometimes take the easy path. Only a quick LR edit in this one.

All that white stuff is not snow. It's bird poop. IRL it looked disgusting, and also did not taste great. But in B&W it looks quite nice.
p.s. I did not look up to see where it came from.
