Kyle, very nice set with the M6. Love all those beach color shots with the CV15. Also like the last shower door shot. I'm envious that there aren't any red edges with the CV15 on film
Ron, that third shot on the previous page with the meters, the first boat shot and the one with the "John's disposal" are really excellent! Like them a lot. Nice color pp too.
Charles, those LAB mode edits are excellent Really beautiful portraits. Also like the second set with the 50Lux and 28Cron, especially the first shot with the surfboard!
Joe, thank you Great street shot, I like how the eye follows through the shot, and then returns the guy on the left!
Luka, nice shots! My favourite are the last two shots
In all the time I've been keeping up with this thread I often noted the tone or colors. I often wondered if my differences were largely a result of environment, or whether it was post work, desaturation, etc.

Hey guys,
great photos, this thread keeps getting better!
I just got my photos back from the lab, these are all shots from my trip to Charleston, SC.
I went there with,
my M6,
Zeiss 50 sonnar
and a Voigtlander 15.
I shot two rolls of film, one roll of KOdak Ektar and a roll of Ilford FP4.
First I will start with the BW shots, I shot this roll first so these are from the first day or two of my trip:
Kyle I love the texture and tone of your black and white film images.
Ed, I do a fair amount of post to all the photos I present here. Not necessarily extreme processing (at least IMO), but it's definitely not straight from the camera. How I process a given image depends on how I feel it looks best at that moment.
As may have been discussed previously, I think any of these photo threads can be deceptive if one was to assume images have received minimal processing. That's definitely not the case.
Nice one Joe.
Luka - I prefer the last two, particularly the last one.
If it seems like I've shot a lot recently, it's a bit deceptive. I'm posting images from an afternoon walk one weekend ago... it just happened to be quite productive. I guess I'm trying to make up for my lack of participation a few weeks ago BTW, still working on my Switzerland photos between paying work, so more of that to come... And Munich too...
Luka, initially I liked the first one most but the use of negative space makes the second one my favourite.
Joe, great timing and execution.
Ron, great use of lines and shapes. #1 and #4 are my favourites.
Charles, nice set. I definitely like the third one the most because if the lightning and depth. The 28 cron is definitely a lens I would like to try out.
Ron, well anything but f/1.4 would have been no sport Actually there is a rather simple (although quite unreliable, at least in my hands) focusing technique that you can use on moving targets. You start from infinity (if the subject is moving towards you) or MFD (if the subject is moving away from you) and turn the focus ring at a steady pace - when the images overlap, or just before they overlap you press the shutter - without slowing down the rotation of the focusing ring. So you do it 'on the fly' so to speak.
Here's another example. Not much of a picture, but the focus is dead on:
100% crop:
Nice set by the way, the first two are my favorites
Thanks Luka Nice set, that #2 50Lux shot has a very interesting bokeh.. don't often see that with this lens. I really like your creativity on #3, that's a really nice composition, the smooth background makes it even better, plus it reminds me of 35mm film strips! Also, good technique with the follow focus.
Ron, another nice set, love the vibrant colors. #1 & 4 are my favorites.
Joakim, Joe, Luka and Ron ... thanks guys
Luka, very nice shots! I like the variety here, from BIF, excellent capture BTW, to abstracts. I really like them all Thanks for sharing your focusing techniques... everything helps
Ron, excellent shots. Great PP as usual. I do like the bokeh with the ZM 50/2, particularly on the last shot. This lens is a great portraits lens too IMO.
Joe, excellent street shot. Very nice composition and PP
