I had no complaints whatsoever with my M240. I really should have kept it instead of getting a 10r. Don't get me wrong, the 10r is awesome. But to me so was my 240.
And my pics haven't gotten any better w the 10r...

I can't count the times I walked by, looked at this set of Turquoise steps and elevator structure thinking that there is an image there somewhere. It just never jelled for me and so I never shot it.
Finally, I decided to make an exercise out of it. I limited myself to only using the Range Finder for composition, and that whatever I got I wouldn't crop the image.
I probably spent too much time moving around, often by inches horizontal and vertical, trying to get all the different elements to intersect and line up in a way I liked. During that whole time no one appeared at the top of the stairs to fill the sky gap the way I wanted. Finally this guy got out of the elevator and I snapped this image.
Anyway, this is what I came away with. I did use the Transform (auto) tool in LightRoom to straighten the lines, but no crop has been applied.
It was a worthwhile exercise in seeing and composing complex relationships through the Range Finder frames.
I usually travel with my M system. For this last trip I only took my CL and CL lenses. While I was shooting, it felt awkward and I thought I wasn't going to do to well. I mostly used the 18-56 as the range is convenient for travel and it's a really light setup. Near the end of the trip I was thinking, man, I hope I get at least a few shots, I just felt uncomfortable not knowing how the images were going to come out. At times I thought. I'm just gonna sell this system when I get home and bring the M next time.
Well...I got home, pulled up the images and they were beautiful Leica files. The "kit 18-56" zoom lens didn't let me down, nor did the 55-135. Both excellent. They don't have the wide aperture pop I'm used to using, but for travel they were perfect. Guess I'm keeping them
