I sure did! Felt it was time to find a new compact EDC lens for my M6... As much as I like the 5cm Collapsible Summicron, I wanted something a little wider. The Sonnar ticked all of the boxes... 40mm, compact, normal filter thread, great haptics, great IQ. I tested it during a short walk with the M10-M, but it has since been welded to the M6 for about 3-4 rolls already.
I'm selfishly assuming you got your 40 Rollei because I wouldn't shut up about mine.
Mine is the common chrome brass version. The black version is super rare. I kinda want one...
One thing that makes me like this lens much more than my Summicron 40 is it actually has flare resistance. The Rollei HFT coatings seem to work well.

You may have played some part in the decision process......
Flare resistance was a large part of why I chose against the Summicron 40mm. Filter size ruled out a bunch of others. Like I said, the Rollei certainly ticked all the boxes. It's coming with me downtown today for the Canada Day celebrations.
I don't own a monochrom Leica so I've been saving the files in both DNG & Jpeg with the camera set to take B&Ws and have been using those jpegs for all my B&W shots lately. I know it's not the same, but I have been enjoying it so far..
