When I pressed the shutter, I hadn’t noticed that the guy outside the doorway was wearing a Washington Redskins jacket; nor did I see the sign on the dessert cabinet, “On vous a vus bande des p’tits gourmands.” That can be loosely translated as, “We've seen you, you greedy little bunch.”

Another one of my impromptu portraits. This one shot in the plaza outside my Wednesday afternoon classroom. I was struck by both the man, and his one blind eye dog. They were kind enough to pose for me. Shot in natural light with open shade.
I have earlier posted a different version of their portrait in black and white, but also wanted a color one in a different pose and composition.
I don't click into this thread a couple of days, and what happens? @1bwana1 Steve gets bitten by a brown recluse spider (I'm guessing), and @helimat Mat buys a Rollei 40mm Sonnar.
Steve - stating the obvious (and I'm sure you have already done this), have an exterminator pay a visit.

I sure did! Felt it was time to find a new compact EDC lens for my M6... As much as I like the 5cm Collapsible Summicron, I wanted something a little wider. The Sonnar ticked all of the boxes... 40mm, compact, normal filter thread, great haptics, great IQ. I tested it during a short walk with the M10-M, but it has since been welded to the M6 for about 3-4 rolls already.

Done, don't think even an extraterrestrial spider could survive what we had done. Insects will stand a better chance in Fukushima or Chernobyl than my house for the next few years.
Plus we had the house keeper wash every sheet and towel in the house as well as dismantle the beds and sterilize them. Still, at night when I turn out the lights I am not completely comfortable yet...
The good new is the healing is now over the hump and going well. They finally took the IV out and I am on oral antibiotics. No nurse visits for the weekend.
Since I haven't been able to get out and shoot the last couple of weeks, and I have this amazing new editing workstation, and RAID Server setup, I have spent some time testing on some recent M11 images. This is the first time I have experience LR sliders and features operating so smoot and in real time with no stutter or lag. A much better experience. 24 Terabytes of storage means I won't worry about that for years.
