Ok, so these aren't taken with a Leica, but a half frame camera that would be a Leica if Leica made it (think that one through for a moment!...) - the Olympus Pen FT. But Ron was using his Leica, and those are in these images, so that counts in my book.

I'll interline a few photos, including of Huss in action, around the time of his photos. BTW, I love the diptych scans from the half frame Pen! There are more from our outing over in the film thread. Huss definitely saw some things I wish I'd paid closer attention to! And it was great to be able to spend time with him wandering around the Chinatown and Venice areas!

Great hanging out! The reflection pic is great, because it looks like I took it, but Ron took it. So how come he isn't also in the reflection?
Two possibilities - he lined himself up perfectly with the center door section. Or Ron is a vampire (he did apply A LOT of sunblock before stepping outside).
The finger pointing pic with the no turn arrow - completely unplanned. I was just being rude by pointing and Ron took the shot. Sweet.
Just got back the rest of my film - one roll of C200 and three of that weirdo ISO 1.6 stuff. This hopefully will be interesting - and shot with a Leica so I can legit post here!
Thank you! I shot so many that I'm having trouble deciding which ones to process and post. This one stood out for sure. I also took my M6 and can't wait to get that roll of Portra 400 back.

When my son was young, in the late Eighties, Nineties, and into the first decade of this century, I was not a photographer. Just the occasional snapshot, with the cheap disposable 35mm film cameras of that time, later supplemented my an inexpensive 35mm point-and-shoot. I knew next to nothing about the direction and qualities of light, or the “rules” of basic composition, until about 2010, when my son was already grown.
