great shot Joe - lovely composition and the post processing is spot on!
Charles, you are wise as you are blessed (with all those LUXes). I don't know whether to hate you or idolise you (as in follow yoour path to Lux acquisitions). Just kidding ya!? Great pics at the monkey temple - darn, i wished I hate enough time for the detour there.

... Lux's, you really can not go wrong, if you can find them in the first place. I think, the influx of people buying M9's, has caused a run on second hand lenses.
The monkey temple, was an amazing spot in the mountains at Ubud.

omg, that's an awesome shot!
Charles, one of my leicaphile friends says the 75 lux is 'not sharp' (from the MTF charts) - greatful for your unbiased views.

Thanks for the kind words KL The 75 Lux can be very sharp at f/4-5.6, and still deliver a paint like rendering. It is an unusual lens to say the least

Tx! At 1.4? How is it in terms of sharpness?
I think i much prefer the older lenses look - call me old school, but the older lenses with lower contrast may be more my cup of tea. Then again, I am fairly entrenched in noob territory so my views may change.

At f/1.4 the 75 Lux can be sharp, detailed but cream like rendering. It is a beautiful lens, if you can get a good copy

Charles - love the 75 Lux shots. As you say, it is a very unique lens. I find (based on your samples) it is very much like the 50 Lux pre ASPH lenses as in kind of dreamy and less sharp wide open but then changes character rather quickly at about the f/2.8-f/4 range and sharpens up very nicely

Thanks Gary, yes having much fun. I have barely anything left for Nikon as I am slowly transitioning to Leica The day I get rid of my Nikon is the day I buy an M9
On another note...Philippines...you move? Or is that temporary?

Charles, very nice series of shots. The colors on the 35Lux ASPH II really pops! The signature on this lens is much closer to the 50Lux ASPH than my older 35Lux ASPH. I like the feel to that 75Lux shot wide open @ISO2000. Very nice!
Ryan, loving your flower series. #2 kind of reminds me of our Swede friend. Hope your 35Lux arrives safely.
