Thanks Charles Nice "macro" shots, don't see to many of these with the Leica M. The second one with the 90Cron is lovely.
Doug, that's a very nice composition with the moon, but agree with Charles, maybe consider a little less pp on the foreground? Keep sharing, I like how you are experimenting and trying different things with your Leica M setup.
Nice set Tobin! I like the composition of that last shot! Very nice B&W tones too!
Thanks Charles and Joe! You guys got me inspired to get out shooting more. I love this thread and love what you guys are posting. Even thou the M8 is older I still find it works well for me. I hope to have the M9 by summer. Cheers!
Tobin - I like #3. Even though the paint on the house are of the "dull" shades, they still came out nice and with your chron/m8 combo. It looks likes an inviting porch in a cold early evening.
Phil - I'm not really in B&W, but I like the B&W one better. Maybe because when I look at the colored one, and knowing it is a picture of a drain (which equates to "waste" in my head), I was kind of afraid to look around the photo in case I might see something less than pleasing. But that's just me - I have weird thought processes.
Joe, I like the top one on the previous page a lot. Great composition with the different "layers" of people and the light adds a lot.
Charles, you must have a really hard time choosing between the 35, 50 and 75 Lux. Both the pair with 35 and the pair with the 75 is great and the one I like the most is the one with the woman looking at clothes in the night market(?).
Ryan, I like the third one with the leaves in the corner the most. For the colours I guess.
Tobin, nice graphical effect on the last b&w but I also like 2706.
Phil, I like the colours themselves so it's the colour version that get my vote
Phil, the color one works better for me on this shot. The B&W is excellent but the color one has a purple hue on the drain pipe which really adds contrast to the mostly brick/brown hues, plus hints of purple in the bokeh caps of this composition. Like it a lot!
Anyone have any issues with sticking focus ring? Seems when I get focus, it seems to shift ever so slightly when I let go of ring prior to pressing shutter, but only once in awhile not all the time. Using my 50 1.0 noct. version 2
Wow! This thread is truly inspiring according to Denoir. I hope to be joining this group soon with an M9 in hand. Keep on posting the great images guys!!
Doug, nice shot! The 35 Cron is a great lens
Phil, send the lens to be serviced, at a local Leica dealer. The turnaround should be very quick. If you have any further problems, I can always help to buy it . This is a problem with a lot of the older lenses, and just may need some lubricant.
Thanks Charles, I was on a walking trail taking a walk and shooting a bit. There wasn't so much to shoot, but this one and a couple of others. But I had a good day anyway shooting a old water wheel house too.
Seems like I heard $150-175 Julian. The alternative if a kit from Match Technologies that allows you to place a template on and use markers to register the lens model when mounted. So far, my 2 lenses I coded this way are working fine.
