This thread is moving fast!!! Fantastic shots everyone I am siting in Kuala Lumpur, on my way to Bangkok for business and may be some time for photo tours too

Joe, very nice shot! Every one is into the 90's

Ryan, amazing shots! I loving all your shots, as if you have a new lease of life!
Luka, superb shots with the 90. I really prefer the rendering with this lens, rather than the 75 Cron AA.
I find with my well calibrated 90 Cron AA, my keeper rate is around 90%. I do not have problems, with seeing the RF for focusing, but if either the lens or M9 is out, I start second guessing, and is the reason, I am still waiting for my 90 Cron AA to come back from Solms.

Doug, nice shots!

Ron, very nice shot. I do like the rendering with the ZM 35 C. The raw files, that I have been comparing to are from the 5DII and 7D. I find the files from both these cameras don't have the clarity or depth, that I am now finding from the M9. I would imagine the 1D IV is in a different league again. I find the difference is not as apparent with web based images, but printing larger sized prints.

Thanks Charles

Ryan, very nice set, the 2nd color shot is my favorite. I can't wait till spring, probably a month away before we get some warmer air up north in Boston.

Since Charles is passing through my home town (I grew up in Kuala Lumpur), here's one for you when I was back there last year.

M9 35CronIV, SEP2 is really addictive.

ahh Ryan, that explains it, you guys are about summer there already I guess.

Great shot Joe, don't deny it being great, I better just keep moving along though, lol. Seriously though, I feel like if I can create art with a lens same day I open it, I've made a great choice.

The processing seems to suite this one I took on a ridge above my street last night... I think I am going to have to create a abstract gallery...

Thanks Doug. Much appreciated.

I think you made the right choice with the 90Cron. If this doesn't work out then you probably have to go the 90Cron AA route

Looks like a nice composition with the trees, although I'm not too partial with the antique vignetting.

Great shots Ryan! And yes, you've made me really jealous of your spring.

Joe, nice capture. I'm continuously impressed by your street photography. You must really get close with a 35mm. Whenever I try to do it I end up with pictures of people 5-10 meters away from me and with their backs turned

Doug, glad to see that you are enjoying your new 90 Cron. Try it around f/5.6 - it's really something. High local contrast like a Zeiss but with the more subtle global features typical of Leica.

Here are a couple of stopped down rendering test shots from yesterday (it rained today so no photography ). Don't you feel that if you licked the image, you'd feel the texture?

Perhaps it's pointless to add, but it's wickedly sharp stopped down a bit. Wide open the newer 90 AA should be a lot better in terms of raw performance, but the 90 Cron pre-ASPH does have a pleasant drawing style wide open and stopped down it's just an amazing performer. I'll have to do a side by side test with the Zeiss 100 MP. Stopped down this one may indeed be its equal and that's saying a lot.

Thanks Luka, much appreciated

You just have to love people and want to hug them and get real close (just kidding) The train was quite narrow and I was seated across the other side. You can probably tell that I shot this with the camera on my lap, but the person on the left still noticed. I think how close I shoot depends on where I am, I prefer large cities or rush hour after work (people are probably too busy or too tired to notice, like the gentleman above). I live in the suburbs and its impossible to shoot street here, if I point a camera at someone, they will probably call the local police.

Luka, very nice shots with the 90Cron. I like #1 best. Looks like a good buy for you.

Luka, great images. What version Cron do you have? 1, 2, or 3? It's my understanding only version 3 has built in hood. I have a V3.

90 cron today.

Thanks Joe, Doug & Charles. Just technical test shots but I hope to get some proper shooting with it tomorrow (if the weather allows).

Charles, great street shots! Very nice colors.

Doug, it's the V3 with the built in hood. Externally it looks the same as the newer 90 Cron AA. I posted an image of mine here (middle of the post):

Doug, nice set. I like how this lens renders in #2 and #3.

Very nice, Charles! What ISO were these shot at? Looks very clean for night shots.

Thanks Joe For dark night time shots in the streets, I keep to about 640 iso, with 35, 50 or 75 Lux's.

Simply stunning set, Charles. Particularly #2. I really admire what you and Joe are able to capture on the streets. I feel like a private investigator trying to sneak up on people when I pathetically attempt.

Doug, Luka great work with the 90's. That lens looks super sharp slightly stopped down

Fantastic set Charles! All very nice, but if I were to pick, #1 & 2 are my favorites, the colors on #1 is beautiful, and the #2 portrait captures all the emotion. Some of your shots remind me of Steve McCurry's work!

Ryan, you should do some "street" soon with the warmer weather down South! The M really excels for anonymous street photography! The more you do it, the more comfortable you get at it. Don't think of "sneaking up" but rather smile and "capture" a beautiful moment in time.

SEP2 is giving some of my pictures a new lease of life. M9 35CronIV

Thanks a lot Ryan and Joe!!!
Joe, great shot! I really like your style as it is evolving. Love the expression on the ladies face.
Joe is right, Ryan try some street shots without a thought in my mind about sneaking or trying to grab a shot. Those shots usually don't work, as people can feel the body language.

Some more shots with the 75 Lux

Superb portraits Charles! My favorite is #2 in the first series. It's just perfect. It's well balanced in terms of composition, the tonality is excelent and the content is interesting. #2 & #3 from the second series are also favorites. Great work!

Joe, again, a nice capture. How did you get that close with a 35 without the people sitting there noticing they were being photographed?

For my own part I took the 90 Cron out for a proper spin today. Man what a lens! The colors are just amazing. Wide open the rendering is really distinct and stopped down it may be the best lens I've ever used.

But, before I post some regular pictures, there are formalities to be completed. Proper paperwork has to be filed with the proper authorities and all that. So to fulfill my forum obligations, we start with some pro-forma duck shots and a bench shot.

Alright, having that little formality done with, here are a couple of non-duck, non-bench shots
