Luka, just out of curiosity, how often do you shoot with your Zeiss 2/35 Biogon, considering you have the 35 Lux? Is there a certain type of look/perspective that the Zeiss provides that you can't get with the Lux? I know that part of it is personal feel. Just wondering if you actually, in reality, need two 35 lenses for your M9?
Ryan, it's really interesting (and good) how preferences vary. In my lightroom database I rated those images with 3 out of 5 which roughly translates to "Technically good, some idea behind it but nothing special". #3 could have possibly earned a rating of 4 had I been charitable. I do enjoy working with B/W conversions though.
Jeremy, since I got the 35 Lux I have not shot with the 35 Biogon at all. I really like the Lux and I've never quite liked the Biogon, at least not at large apertures. Stopped down the Biogon is actually better but wide open the Lux is in a different league. Do I need both? No. I might use the Biogon for small aperture landscape photography in the future, but right now I'm still too enamored with the 35 Lux to use the Biogon. I probably wouldn't be using the latter in the near future as I need to sent it to Zeiss to get its wobbly focus ring fixed.
I hope I don't start "over-posting," but I'm just too psyched about my new M9. On my way home from a client meeting, I spotted a couple of beat-up backhoes in a close-by parking lot. I made a quick pit-stop. I really like the detail of all the gears and cables.
Great stuff guys, I am posting my last canon stuff for sale now! (serious) , my favorite 5D MKII and Contax 85 N 1.4 converted to EOS by none other than conurus
Dameon wow I just saw terminator so that brings back some memories
Denoir Those B and W conversions are awesome what do you use in PP? NIK Silver?

Doug, nice shots! I really like the b&w one in the first set! Very nice shot of your daughter and mum
KL, very nice shots! I do like the flared look I really #2. If it is not too overly flared, raising the black level in PP, helps this immensely with the M9, but I am sure that you are aware
Joe, great duck shot!!!
Just sent my M9's, to be checked before my trips, so shots from previous visits.
The respective lenses used were the 90 Cron AA, 35 Cron Asph and ZM 25/2.8
Wow Charles 2 and 3 are awesome, love that conversion, is that a shadow of the man? or another person in the BG? Love the tones
Thanks Phil much. I know someone else probably said something too, I'm bad about not reading all posts, time... thank you thank you thank you.
Sharpness test, no post processing, just loaded up, it's too scenic, it's just a limb test, but I've seen so many lenses fail tests like this too. It's near work, so I walked down to the tracks over that hill.
Charles, very nice portraits. The Lux50 is a fantastic lens. In my (personal and subjective) opinion it has the best rendering of all Leica lenses. Smoother bokeh than the 35Lux and more character than the 75Cron.
