#1 really caught my eye, and the more I look at it I have to ask, did you do some photoshop work?
It's too perfectly mirrored. #2 & 4 are really nice too, and love the tonality of #4.
Charles, nice tonality in your B&W conversions too!
Oh my Luka....that last shot with the 75 Cron. Very nice. Your 35 Lux has some red edges....what is with that? Does the coding not remove all of it? I like the bench shot with the Lux too...but that last one is fantastic. Just when I was starting to write off the 75mm length.....
Edward, I think Charles added a picture after creating the post with the dog in it.
The 75 Cron is a lens I thought about adding as my second lens sometime. 35/75 could get me by a while. Next weould be the 50 summilux if I can float a loan, lol, thanks Charles. Forget this Noctilux stuff, that's not in play, lol.
Well, it's between the 75 and 90 summicron, the jury is still out on that one. I'll let the galleries try and sway me. :-)
Ryan, yes the 35 Lux suffers from some color shift that isn't fixed by the coding. It is however rarely very obvious so I have not bothered creating a CornerFix profile to deal with it.
Joe, yep. There was a plaque on it stating that it was in operation from the 1880's to the 1980's on an island in the Stockholm archipelago. After that it was purchased and moved to a private marina to serve as a decoration and where it stands today.
Luka, first set of shots are very nice! The second set are outstanding The rendering, tone and composition are just all there!!! They remind me of MF shots where you gaze for a while and think ... wow!
Ryan, I have the same problem with 35 Lux Asph II, red edge on both M9's, but it is a very quick PP step to remove it So really IMO it is a non issue.
Received my 2 M9's back for the Bali trip, and both camera's now are synced at the same focus points and all the lenses are spot on at MFD, mid and far points It has take a while but well worth the effort, and it is all under warranty.
Hi Luka
Saw that your ZM 35 developed a wobble? Mine too. Optically seems ok, pics are still tack sharp. Do you think removing the wobble can be done by experienced professionals (instead of sending back to Zeiss all the way)? It's a pity, but my ZF lenses never had such issues - the ZF lenses seem better make then even some leica's (just my view).
KL, I don't know. Since I'm not currently really using it I don't mind sending it to Zeiss. They are much faster than Leica with repairs (it takes about a week). As for build quality I agree with you. The ZE/ZF lenses are definitely better built than the ZM ones. As for Leica build quality, it is good but quality control seems pretty poor. My first copy of the 75 Cron had a wobbly aperture ring and now on my second copy it broke altogether. I have not gotten around sending it to Leica yet.
Luka, another very nice B&W set, my fav are #1, 3 & 4.
Ryan, excellent set with the 50Lux. Wow! the first shot is great, nice muted colors and composition with the flare. I like the rendering a lot. Is this the E46 version?
Charles, love the colors....Old meets New is the perfect title
Thanks Charles, Joe.....E43 version II. Shaun's old Lux. This lens has really surprised me. Sharp yet dreamy wide open to f/2. The glow dissipates from f/2 to f/2.8. From f/2.8 on I think you can put it up against just about any lens with sharpness and clarity. I have never had a lens that just turns so quick like that.
And talk about a different experience with the M8 using better glass. While the ZM 25 2.8 was excellent I never really felt anything special with it. It felt like a clinical lens with little character...yet almost perfect. The 35 f/2 ASPH and 50 Lux are far from clinical in my short experience. It is so much more fun shooting these two lenses than the ZM 25 and ZM 35. In my short couple of days I have been backing up too much....time to think about a wide angle. That ZM 18 looks perfect.

Anyone downloaded SilverEfex Pro V2 yet?
Didn't know this was out already...will be downloading tonight
Ryan, that is precisely why I plan to resist temptation for alternative market glass from other manufacturers if possible. I got a Leica camera, because I wanted Leica results. Compromising on glass, I don't feel is how to get there for me. If I wanted to do that, I could stick witht he 4 Zeiss lenses I have for Nikon and saved this whole journey. While no doubt, the M9 show sterling results with some other optics, that's not the issue for me, it's just not necessarily the look I am after.
Joe, did you actually get your keys for SEP 2.0? I logged in to my NIK account and those keys aren't available yet and I pre-ordered several weeks ago. Just wondering if yours was a general inquiry or if it was because you already have your keys and downloaded it?
Ryan, the E43 50Lux is lovely, I'm tempted! Another nice set! Careful, if you tinker with the wide angle ZMs, you will eventually end up with the WATE!
Jeremy, I haven't got mine yet. Still waiting, but its supposed to be out this month right?
