Heres the one they selected

And I will post a link to the digital version once the magazine is complete. There are a lot of images in the magazine. Costas Manos is being featured to. I am humbled to be in his company. One of the truly great street photographers. Also a review of the new M-D. It looks like a wonderful issue.

Congratulations Allen - an impressive image that conveys to me the pathos of the subject.

I wonder why she has the IMEI written on the back of her phone? Can say I have ever needed that number more than once.

Joakim - that one works really well at 15mm. So does your copy of that lens have soft corners?

Thanks Gary. Only early impressions from the 50 Cron Rigid, but it is a lot more modern feeling than the faster 1950s era 50s. Seems better corrected, maybe sharper. But still has a nice smoothness to it wide open and not as bitingly sharp as modern 50s.

One from one of my favourite spots in downtown Hamilton... trying a different perspective.

It probably is Ron!

I bought the lens from a US buyer and had him send it directly to the CA-based conversion guy: eBay name Jieying - no longer selling conversions alone .

All in all it was not a bad price to pay for a G45 converted to LM. I agree with you re focus sensitivity. If I were repeating the process today I would fork out for the Hawks conversion, though it is super expensive with our now-weak Aussie dollar.

It performed very well on the M8, M9 and my unmodded Sony A7R.

Or not.... mine has a different serial number and a different conversion (hardware from Fotodiox). I think it's another ebay guy in the US. Fatter body to the conversion, with a wide focusing ring. Very loose, not well dampened at all.

Just got some really good news today.

First one of my images was selected for the Soho juried exhibit at the Soho gallery in New York in July. I also had a piece selected for that gallery and show in 2014. This year there were 1500 entries. My work is also being featured in the next issue of Viewfinder Magazine.

Congrats Allen! And I agree, very well deserved. I remember that photo and the subject's gaze...

Here's a couple from last month. I was down in San Diego and I stopped by the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, it's quite a peaceful place if I do say so.

Both were shot on Ilford HP5, the first on my MP with the 35 Summicron, and the second was on the M5 I was trying out. Though I actually don't remember which lens I was using. It may have been the 90 Summicron with me standing back a bit or I might have used the 35, I suspect it was the 35 as it has a fairly modern contrasty look.

Congratulations Allen!

Ron, my copy is a little soft in the corners but not to bad. This is v2 and not the latest.

Yudhi - funny picture!

Ed - busted out the ZM85/2, eh? Were you getting a bit sentimental with all this recent talk about it?

I have been thinking of picking up a 28cron to try out but wanted to see what my other options were first. I prefer the faster f/2 of the cron but could make do with a f/2.8 lens. What would be the top contender for an f/2.8 lens in 28mm FL?

Partially

The designer asked me to do his portrait for a website, so what better than the sonnar?

I would wait and see what kind of sensor toppings will be in the next M. If you don't plan to upgrade from the M240, then the elmarit mark 1 would work best, but the mark 2 is designed for the SL toppings so I think it's safe to say the next M will have a similar cover glass, and the mark 2 is quite bad on the M240.
