Leica X1 "point and shoot." Decided I shouldn't have sold mine, so I bought another one yesterday from B&H. These were shot last fall with my original. Two different views of the same setting taken within seconds of each other. X1 is still a great camera, warts and all. Good compliment to my X Vario.
The mix in this thread is greater than ever with the MF posts from Werner and Joakim, and the X and Q posts to add to the 'mainstream' trad models!
I had a blitz of street-art photography on 13 April when in Melbourne, Victoria about a month ago. A sensor-clean for my M9 turned into a diagnosed corroded sensor, so I was forced to use film instead - no chore actually.
I used a Fuji GA645 loaded with Portra 160 and a Leica M2, first loaded with home-rolled FP4+ and then with a cheapish (compared with most other stock) Agfa Vista 200. I haven't developed my FP4+ yet however I received the link to my scanned colour prints today. I'm super-impressed (again) with the quality of Portra 160 and the resolution of the GA645 lens.
One one day I completed the sale of a Pentax 6x7 and on the next I bought a CV 35 f1.2 v1 for a really good price at a small Leica shop.

Dave, condolences on the sensor corrosion. Still pondering what to do about my corroded M9... The CV looks good and I like the rendering of the Canon 50/1.4. My latest vintage acquisitions are a 50 Cron Rigid and an M-mount converted Contax G 45/2... but haven't shot much with them yet.

Thanks Ron. I called the Leica-licenced shop yesterday and my camera is in the repair line already, so predicting only a few weeks to go!
I miss my M-converted G45, traded with another lens when I bought a P645D from Liz Wang here on FM.
I wonder if it's the same lens? I bought it from Gregg F, who I think only had it a relatively short time. I seem to recall Liz selling one too, which I guess was yours. But I don't remember when that was relative to when I got this one.
This one is the 'ebay conversion' type offered by a guy in the US, rather than the MS-Optical conversion, or the new Hawks conversion kit (which looks promising, but is expensive). I find the focus is very light and sensitive, which is somewhat bothersome.

There are plenty of recovery softwares. Just go to the website of your card brand and download their version. You should be able to recover all photos after just one format especially if you didn't use the card to take additional shots. I use Transcend cards and their software works well but I guess they all work the same way.
+1 for the Transcend RecoveRx app. It will work with any brand memory card (at least every brand I've tried). I use it to recover photos for friends and colleagues....
Edward - do you or anyone else have any activation keys for any SD card brand. I have a bunch of cards but whenever I buy one I throw out the packaging - including the activation key. Next time I know to keep those little slips of paper that come with the card. I am trying to avoid spending the $40 for the software. The images are not super special but I would still like them...
