My m240 did lock up occasionally (usually when I'd left it on and hadn't realised my elbow was frequently depressing the shutter...). A bit of a faff to take the half case off, the bottom, the battery, and start again. But pretty rare, and as it's a personal camera, no real trouble to me.
I just installed the new firmware and noticed this was mentioned as a feature.
Just did a quick stress test. Seems to be solved? I'll be interested to see if it's actually cured anyway...

I can't say that my M240 has ever locked up on me in the year and half I've been using it, but I most definitely experienced the "Check battery age" nonsense and the new firmware got rid of that thankfully. I honestly haven't really had any trouble with my M240, it's been quite reliable.
Always stoked to see your work Rocky. When you're saying light leaks, do you mean from the actual scanner? Or did it happen during development? Either way I don't think it detracts from the final image at all.
Thanks guys! The light leak is from my scanning. I used to have access to an enlarger setup which can hold the film flat and nice while shooting it with a camera through a lightbox. Now I've just cut out rectangles on thick pieces of cardboard and sandwich my film while shooting it through a lightbox hence the scruffy edges. I guess it started bending over time so its not completely flat and light is coming through the edges, more noticeably the blooming on the top of the first image.
