I had to (anathema to me) do the family theme park thing at Movie World, Queensland this January, so took the Tri-X (on a cloudless 35C day) to try and make it a bit more interesting.
Too many to comment on, but want to shout out to Allen for the Fozzy Bear photo. When I saw it I was WTF! You lucky bugger! First of all, just that location is my kind of eye candy... but to get that Fozzy lookalike to wander through right when you're there is too good. You should buy some lotto tickets ASAP!
Capping off the ice pattern photos (BTW, the ice has pretty much melted... that weekend was ~-20C whereas last weekend was ~+12C. Oh well, it was good to get out on it while it lasted!)...

These are the least 'gory' angles...
Not sure what the story was here, other than it was half eaten. Maybe it was chased out onto the ice where it had no traction and was brought down by a coyote (of which there are definitely a number in the area, perhaps due to the proliferation of deer). About 100m away was a second deer that was in a much worse state, mostly consumed. But the ice there looked very questionable and I didn't venture near. I'd guess it was relatively fresh given that its eyes were still kind of glassy and there was no smell. It was only really cold for a few days leading to this photo, so couldn't have been out there for long...
Took the car in for servicing last week... the garage is at the other end of the city. The appointment coincided with a minor snowstorm. Rather than take the bus home, I walked about 5 hours through the industrial and depressed residential and retail area of the northeast end of the city until I reached downtown. It wouldn't normally take that long, but I stopped frequently and made some detours. Some areas I knew. Some I'd never visited in the decades I've lived here. A good reminder to get out more often to simply walk and explore. The snow seemed like a good excuse to do it.

Looks like we got your snow today, Allen. But I was stuck inside all day for a corporate gig, forced to look longingly out the windows of the venue at the seemingly perfect gentle snowfall (though my car was all iced up when I finally got out).
