René, your recent processing is very film-like. Love seeing the Swiss scenes. Reminds me of Lausanne.

Great images as usual on here and again, I haven't been posting as I should.

...just a couple from me for now, both film and digital.

Last two are Ilford FP4+ on Leica M2, with Summicron 50 DR. Commercially developed and scanned, however I will do my own next time; this exercise proved the M2 is working OK.

Finally, I posted a poll in the alt thread - I expect overwhelming responses selecting #1 from you all!

Canerino: I like 'YMCA' entrance
David: bike path shot is priceless
Coogee: Nice shots on the big bridge and last street set: old lady looking at cosmetics
Ron, love the icy selfie and that snowy bike
Gary I like the bird woman shot
Stephen: crop with the bike in snow using 75/2 really nice.
Rodizzie, first shot under the pier =

I love my 135/2.8. It's the most under-rated of of M lenses, I say

I think I need to work on applying the classic street shooting juxtapositions to rural livestock. It will be harder though, because I don't have all those ads and reflections to work with

lol! I'm sure you'll find a way! get in real close, sheep makes snarly face at other sheep etc.
farmyards the world over always seem to be such a haven for industrial junk/abandoned projects etc. i'd kill for a rusty combine harvester whilst you covet our steel, glass and madison avenue wallpapers.

This is the best I could do on a recent vacation, cow has introspective moment whilst licking its' lips at appealingly lit leaves.

The 135 (canon?) looks great, love the soft 'blurry bits' and subdued yellows in the first and third shots especially.

Not harder, just different, because you have different elements to work with. You just have to see them.
See Bresson's rural work.

Thanks guys for the kind words!

coogee - come to Hamilton ON Canada and you can have both a selection of glass & steel (though not huge or extensive) as well as your fair share of rust & decay throughout the city, but particularly in the industrial northeast sector. In fact our tallest office building, formerly known as Stelco Tower (Stelco was one of two large steel mills here, before being bought and gutted by US Steel), was made of 'Stelcoloy' steel specifically designed to patina (rust) slowly over time (must have been another example of '70s design aesthetics). In fact I just spent some quality time photographing around the building on Tuesday after dropping my car off for service and walking ~5km through the industrial sector during a snowstorm. No, not because the buses weren't running, but actually for a good, fun photo walk... photos to eventually come (unfortunately the best rust & decay is on private property).

Some more random Munich (thanks Gary!):
