Canon 50/1.4 LTM. (By the way, is it normal to have significant field curvature on a Summaron 35/2.8? Noticed it when shooting landscapes, at f/5.6 the edges are really OOF when the center is tack sharp.)
Hello, everyone... it's been a while. I have been swamped with work for several weeks (CPAs are always fighting deadlines, it seems.) In the meantime, I have picked up a Q from a fellow FM member, and today was the first day that I have been able to get out with it.
First impression: outstanding! What is not to like about this camera? It is small, it has an incredibly sharp 28mm lens, dynamic ranges is outstanding, it handles bright Florida beach scenes shot wide open (1/16000 @ f/1.7, ISO 100) without a neutral density filter, auto focus is quick and accurate, and it has the brightest electronic viewfinder I have ever put before my eyes. Leica has hit one out of the park with this camera.

I'm still back on page 900+ just enjoying the trip. I may never fully catch up at the rate everyone is posting such terrific photographs. That's okay. I know many of the members that have posted in this thread over the years and appreciate everyone's contributions. I've learned a lot too! Although I've never posted my own work to this thread I've lurked for years - selfishly enjoying your photographs.
So...
I finally succumbed. After realizing "resistance is futile" I purchased my first Leica's this week - M240 and 35FLE. The 35 has been on the kitchen counter all weekend just mocking me - the M240 is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. It's been a painfully slow-going weekend. I've never wanted a Monday to get here fast enough. Unfortunately, I have a super-busy work week coming up so I'm not sure when I'll get to make the inaugural post. What I do know - from witnessing the friendly and cordial postings from everyone over the years - is that I will be welcomed. That aspect is so refreshing in an age of anonymous forum postings.
Without a doubt, the amazing photographs draw me here but the vast knowledge that is openly shared and the diversity in styles / gear are what keeps me coming back. Yes, I'm officially addicted to Leica, the wallet's a lot thinner and basically... it's all your fault!
