I like the colour one Edward, purely because I like the off-white/cream colour of the car itself, complete with matching white wall tyres too! As a photograph alone, I prefer the B+W one too (lol Allen!)

Edward, I prefer your colour photo better. I feel it has more "pop" to my eyes.
The F1 lights do give a different feel to the streets here. Sometimes walking on the "circuit" itself when it's barricaded and lit up under those lights (but pre-race when it's used as a regular road) is exciting too...knowing those F1 drivers will be zipping around at 300kmph on roads with speed limits of 60kmph
Alpha/Adam - I haven't got a 50 f1. Nowhere close to one in fact! I'm actually moving away from the idea of a 50 Noct. It's just not a very typical street lens. Magical, yes and undeniably so.
I actually picked up a new 35FLE today. I tried a used one, though a fair bit cheaper had odd focusing and was an older copy. It was mint but with the FLE "rattle" and the hood wouldn't accommodate non-leica filters. The new one rattles very faintly, but the hood is alright and the focus appears better than the used one. So now I'm reeling from the expense of my first brand new leica lens...I think the 28cron will have to go as a result. I'm also reluctantly thinking of selling the 90AA. It's also not a very street lens in the sense I'm too distant from my subjects. I think something has to give and I don't think I can afford to keep the 90, let alone both the 28 and 90. If given a choice between a 35lux and a 28 i'd gravitate towards the former, and same goes between a 35lux and a 90AA. When funds permit a 21SEM or 90AA will be next. I hope i've kept the GAS at bay. Sorry for the mini ramble. I feel quite conflicted about selling and yet excited about the 35. I know several members advised me to just pick up another 35 instead. I tried a few of them but after reviewing the photos by ZMs (no CV) and the FLE, my heart made up it's mind.
I've come to believe no leica purchase is rational. It's just you feeding what your heart wants. It's very emotive, far more than any other sort of purchases I've done before (camera related, since i'm sure cars and probably watches provide some level of comparison). Maybe this is just another silly way of justifying a leica related purchase. Ask me 3 years ago if I ever imagined buying a lens for more than $4000USD..or a body for more than $4000USD. Edward said in another thread that leica is about less not more. I think you get less for more too (in the more "rational" sense when you talk numbers). I'm trying to curb my buying and selling of leica gear. Maybe some day 20 to 30 years down the road I'll hold this summilux and tell the next generation that this vintage Karbe era lens still competes with the lenses made today. Maybe this lens will be a hand me down. Leica makes me think of silly aspirational things like that.
