Cal, thank you for taking the time to respond. From your explanation, I can see how the Q could complement an M, especially in settings where one needs to get the shot quickly and assuredly - weddings, birthday parties, political rallies, etc. Autofocus would be a nice option to have in those situations. For me, the biggest limitation with the Q is that it offers one, and only one, focal length, and in settings where you can't walk up to the subject, the Q with its fixed 28mm lens will be inadequate for the situation.
If I sound like I am trying to talk myself out of getting a Q, I am, especially now that I have sold my M9.
Edward, nice tones and putting the Sonnar to effective use with the somewhat dreamy look of the portrait.
Thanks for the comments Hilmar and Edward! Hilmar, that's why I kept the first one in colour. I tried it in monochrome and it just didn't work as well. The others were in monochrome in part for speed and simplicity of processing, but also thought they worked well that way. The last one where they're coming out the door is also nice in colour with very warm, low sunlight as the sun was setting...

Yes, Ron, the b/w ones do work as well, of course, but I personally prefer the color shots. The most recently uploaded images in color are lovely, in particular those taken wit the Summilux 21. You seem to like deep black tones these days. Very well processed and to my liking.

Edward - I agree that the 50 sonnar can be a very nice lens. You are right though that sometimes bokeh can be funky.
Rene - love the simplicity to your last shot! Very nice.

Nico - looks like the Q is a good match for you! Is that the FL you typically use for your building/architecture type shots?
