MM + 28 Ultron. My 50mm was suppose to arrive yesterday, so I'm still 'stuck' at 28mm for now!

Could any of you kind folk share some insight into using something wider than 35mm with the m240? For example, 24/25? Or is 28 the very limit of usefulness with the VF? Is 25 add on VF only?

I am have a project which can involve tighter spaces, and I am debating the usefulness of something wider than 35mm.

I chuckle at the 28 angst which surrounds the Q, of course for shooting people on the street 35 hard too beat, but I would be lost without wider options, like my ZM18, SEM 21 and the 28 Cron, in the outdoors.

On the M9 the ZI viewfinders are fantastic, if a bit pricey

Both ZM18 Someday, I'll try the new CV 15 v3. I could use the space!

I just shoot and see what I get later.
If I need critical framing then I'll use the EVF. An optical viewfinder is ridiculous to consider as its a two step process.. Unless you're planning on zone focusing, then sure go optical VF.

I always use the zeiss 25 without external finder. I just frame tightly. If I use an external finder, regardless if it is an ovf or evf , I always focus with the rangefinder. The evf is slower to focus and less accurate.

Adam, Edward, thanks! I don't have the EVF and would like to not get one. I would be using 24/25 in order to include "more", so I zone focusing and medium-small aperture would be very feasible. Edward, do you find there is much excluded when using the Zeiss 25 with the rangefinder?

I think I'll simply begin with 35 and see how things go. I will hopefully not need anything wider, but useful to know how things could work.

p.s. Adam, any progress with that book?

Ohh, I get to have different opinions from both Adam and Edward at the same time I prefer to use an external VF with my 24 lenses and I prefer an optical VF since I find it much faster to use the two step process than the EVF.
