Great street shots; I especially like the last one. From this image, we can tell quite a lot about this woman. I won't attempt to psychoanalyze her, but suffice it to say, she has moxie to spare. I love it.
Weird angles and a weird look, The angles with the Voigtländer 15/4.5 and the look with the Voigtländer 35/2.5 Color Skopar. Notice the guy to the left in the background looking straight into the camera, I think it's a Leica he's holding!
These are all taken at an art installation that Canada gave to Australia at the centenary (2001) of Australian Federation. The installation was the winning entry in an art competition. Many different types of Canadian stone were shipped from Canada and installed by the Canadian artist. My wife (Australian) was then working at the Canadian High Commission and she was responsible for managing the legislation necessary in both Australian and Canadian parliaments to permit the gift, as well as the overall management of the project; all this long before we met. The art depicts the northern and southern hemisphere constellations.
Love these posts! "The Leica Look" in abundance. If anyone still doubts there is such a thing as "The Leica Look," all they need to do is come to this thread. For me, "The Look" dates back to my Leica Digilux 2 and has been present with every Leica I've owned since ... but getting even better as time has gone by. Great company. Great products. Yeah, happy belated Canada Day. Went to watch the city's fireworks display. It was OK... too many small/low burst and not enough of the big, impressive type. Those were fairly spread out and it was tough to get nice combinations with the M240. Quite a few times I missed the good ones because the camera was doing dark frame subtraction... Meanwhile, as usual, I also had my Canon set up and just left it with the cable release locked and on continuous advance, and got more options with it... But I like the colors from the M240 somewhat better. If you're wondering what the second reflection in the water is, it's the moon, which had risen enough to be just out of the frame. But these are all cropped as panoramas.
M240 & ZM 50/2 (in part for the nicer starbursts typical of most ZM lenses).
