Here was a tense moment, as the alsation guard dog (the re-introduced wolves will kill up to 100 sheep in a session), decided to check me out. They can be very mean. He was sweet though and just wanted a pet

Charlie - fun shots of the sheep and glad you made out OK with the dog. But I know what you mean... I feel the same way on walks in the woods when a dog off its leash and well ahead of its owner approaches me on a trail. Never really know how it will react. As for the cowboys... I think we have a similar situation here in Ontario with seasonal Mexican farmworkers. Not to say it's feasible, but wonder how much the cost of food would increase if workers were paid a living wage? That always seems to be the argument - increase in cost to the consumer and none of the 'natives' want to do the dirty work, anyway.
Edward - I think your B&W looks very good too, particularly the first one.
Gary - great eye on the alternating layers. Of course the 50 Lux ASPH is great for landscapes. It's one of my primarily uses for it, and it's surprisingly decent at wider apertures too (though a bit of mid zone dip). I have yet to use a 50/1.4 that is better in a multitude of uses (I suppose the Otus technically is, perhaps the Sigma is in the ballpark too, rendering preferences aside).
Ryan - the images of your boys are great. Something you'll certainly cherish in the years ahead.

Ron, agree with Adam, beautiful set, and 3 is definitely my favorite. I think color works better for this particular subject and light. Really like the electric blue tones.
