Thanks Adam. B&W seemed to help due to the ugly mixed light sources. The bridesmaid's dresses were also a very bright blue, which I found rather distracting in the more intimate scenes, yet worked well for the kids outside in the bright sun, blue sky and green grass/trees. I tried the last set in B&W but the kids got lost in the gray tones. Here skin tone colour really seems to keep them from blending into the scene, along with the quality of the sunlight as they were playing just on the boundary of sun and shadow.
Hmm might be too dark there The 135 is another difficult customer which demands you take several shots of anything to get one OK. But it's always beckoning with that tight flat view:
