There was lots of youngsters camping this weekend in the group camp, looked like a Scout group, they were climbing the hills in the loop. Even the regular south campground was busy. Haven't see it that busy in all the years I have been running the race. I even camped a couple of times in the past on race weekend in my tent. Bonus this year the showers have been fixed and they are free though the water only lasts about 2 minutes before you need to push the button, but good and warm.

Very nice shot Gary.

Lenticular11 don't be shy, this form is for all to share their images. People here are welcoming and enjoy seeing what people can capture with their Leica's. We learn together and we help one another, you will find that by sharing we all become better photographers. Keep in mind part of the excitement is seeing images through other peoples eyes, you would be surprised at times when a shot we have done which to ourself is just average inspires someone else because they see it in a way we don't. That's the excitement in the Leica thread. We all love taking pictures, the people here are helpful and love seeing what others do. Great group of people to interact with. Pictures are stories as a photographer sees it. Hope to see some of your shots soon.

Very nice shots Edward. The 2nd I like the lighting, The 1st reminds me of a recent course where Chanel seemed to be a place of contrast in a few shots some of us did.

Nice BWs there Charlie . Wish I have the cash for an MM but I'm trying out analog photography so I'm putting money aside for developing and scanning.

Just found this neat feature in lightroom to print as contact sheets. I wanted to share more of these kinda pics before but didn't know what the best way to upload them as the site only allows 5 at a time. Anyway this was taken while I was waiting for my breakfast in Jagat. I went for a stroll and saw some kids that were playing with their horse. I tried to start a conversation with them and they didn't mind that I took some pictures along the way.

Thank you burningheart, Charlie!

The distagon isn't that heavy, but it's overkill for everyday photography. I carry my camera with me everywhere, and sometimes I don't shoot anything with it, so I thought the very low profile of the C-Biogon would be perfect. However, I do prefer the distagon when I'm on a photography outing.

Very nice b/w work with your mono-M9 Charlie

Rocky, very good idea and love the series of shots with the kids.

Huss, beautiful b/w as usual.

Rene, 2nd shot is awesome!

Werner, nice to see people shots as well.

Like that last one, Coogee
Beautiful sheet, Rocky
Allen, excellent set
CVickery: to me the tempting one is a MM for 4k, which I think we will soon see. But in truth, the M9 does fine for me BW, and is highly flexible in PP. I really never shoot over 800 iso if I can help it, and use the fast glass to get in the dim when need be. I would get a second M9 pretty soon, except I have A7.mod which is really no slouch, and does long lenses and close ups too

For my event tonite, I took in one Rkyer bag: M9 and A7, CV 35/1.2, 50/1.1, 74Lux and Leitz 135/2.8. They all fit, no problem, plus phone and wallet etc. Again, shooting two bodies was very nice, and the A7.mod was seriously keeping up.

Charlie do you mean for recording? The M imho records movie like a potato, its almost useless for anything professional. It's ok for still life montages but for moving scenes you're going to be put off by the rolling shutter.

Burningheart - thanks a lot for your encouragement, also to all for the likes and to Edward and Allen (+1) for the post.
I've been posting on and off to this thread - the friendliest I know on FM - for 30 months or so. It's the cause of my getting into LM gear, now film as well as digital. I like shooting more than processing, so that's part of my poor participation rate!

Beautiful subject and portrait Desmolicious. Do you use that same name on Ducati.MS? If so, I used to post on the ST area there as 'smoothlennie' (that's a wordplay on Cumulus Lenticularis, clouds beloved of glider pilots.)

These two pics show some of these lenticular clouds off to the RHS (M8 with CV 35/1.4 MC)
