I think you're right. The IH was a lot bigger and had round tail lights.

TY Edward Your shots of Lebanon are stunning. Great lens, Great place; Great shooter. Your landscapes are really something.

Last set, I just love the 35 and 50 shots of the hillside village, flowers above cool too.

+1

Charlie, thank you very much for the kind words! Much obliged. Love the car series, especially the old Jeep. May I suggest to try some gritty b/w PP you might get very interesting results.

Gary, gorgeous scenery!!!!!

I like the first one too but also the subtle discovery of the sleeping guy amongst all those bright clean architectural lines in the second. Very nice.

Great view Gary, received my 21SEM today and looking forward to trying it out on not quite so grand landscapes.

Edward - Great sets. I like the 'people pictures' most, the final three.

In tribute to Charlie's cool wrecks, here are a couple of some quality British engineering (tongue in cheek there) that, like me, survived the trip to Australia,

Charlie - Love all of the "famous nearby high prairie". I like the yellow truck best, lovely subdued colours and the mountains just hinted at in the distance. And the one after of sunset against the silos with great warm colours.

I wonder if many people have both a 35 and a 28 cron? I keep thinking of getting the 28 but is the 35 too close? I keep thinking about selling my Nikon zooms to get one....

I doubt many own a 28 and not a 35, but I'd bet there are many with a 35, no 28

There are a bunch of great 35s but the 28 Cron is really the benchmark 28 in all respects, and as good or better than any 35 in many respects. It's truly a low light lens as well, easier to shoot down at very low shutter.

The prices are down alot for the 28 also, with one easy to find for 2600. The 35 asph is seen often now for 1850--and just as good really is the ZM 35/2 at only around 650.

But in use the lengths are very different. The 28 is a true wide angle lens with some DOF options thrown in. If yo can fund the 28 cron, I would say find a nice one for a good price and get it. You can always sell later

here some 28 cron:

28 is better when you need to get the "whole ruin" in your shot

28 50 is a fantastic minimalist lens set.

Many thanks I'm looking for something that will handle environmental portraits in tighter spaces, I use my Nikkor 24 f/1.4G on my DF lot's alongside my M with 35 Cron but keep thinking 28mm may be a sweet spot.
