Skin tone seems always match my vision or what I remembered in my mind with minimal WB adjust. Only D700 give me that over all the camera I have been used so far...

zhangyue - From your pictures I see exactly what you mean. Although I like them a lot,my own approach is often to go for a rougher, more expressionist look, for which I like the M9 and MM (having shot a few years ago the much rougher Ricoh GRD).

As mentioned in an earlier post, I just bought (on impulse) a used Summilux-35 FLE, despite some misgivings about the bokeh. So far I'm happy about this lens from which below are a range of pictures (without any particular distinction as far as their photographic quality is concerned). The first two are at f/1.4. As I've read, it seems that this lens is optimized for shooting at wide apertures at closeup, at up to about 3 metres, for which I like it. I'll have to see how it compares with the Summicron-36v4 for landscapes.

Thank you Ron. I really missed the planar saturation and micro contrast. Very nice abstracts as usual!

Thank you Zhangyue for confirming my findings. Very nice 3D in the distagon shots. I agree with Ron, the shot he mentioned is really outstanding.

Unfair to single out amongst such a rich and varied selection, but I just wanted to note I've particularly enjoyed your sets over the past couple of months Edward. In the streets and on your travels, I think mostly with a 25 and 35 ? regardless, you make the sort of images I like! These days I find myself wanting to see what things look like, what was happening, what was interesting, and to describe them in a way in which only a photograph can - very challenging.

I'm very honored and touched by your generous words, Richard. I do not see myself as a good photographer, and most contributors in this thread have much more talent, that I always admire, and sometimes even envy I do try to describe honestly and in a documentary way life as it happens around me, without embellishment. I'm very glad you like my photographs.

Fantastic photography from everyone!

Richard, that's exactly the kind of shot that inspire me. Well done! The sense of loneliness and melancholy as well as quietude, perfect moment.

Ok, I think I figured out how to use my 50mm duo. The Sonnar will be used for portraits of people that I personally know, and the planar for the people I don't know, and everything else

Back to the Sonnar, two casual shots of my wife from this evening. I think the bokeh looks particularly nice.

I'm so relieved and happy ... just got off the phone with my Leica rep and due to the continued delay times for replacing my sensor and the age (newness) of my body, they are sending me a loaner M240 to use until my M-E is back to me. I was honestly looking at buying a Sony A7 as a backup and something to use for my upcoming sessions scheduled (which I had scheduled around my repair times). Just saved a ton of $$!

So, let's just hope I don't not want to send the M240 back ... that would cost me several thousand.

That's good news. I hope you won't like the M 240 to much because then it is really going to cost you

Michael - these are all really enjoyable images. I particularly like the third - of your son drawing/writing and your daughter at the piano in the background. The shapes of background objects is very pleasing. The Distagon seems to be a keeper, but do you feel it has the 'soul' of the 35 Cron v1? (Maybe you answered this already? I don't recall)

Ron, Distagon's Bokeh is actually smoother than 35cron V1 for most cases. And it has more clarity and transparent to the scene. One thing I love 35cron Boekh is spot lights are always rounded even at corner. The size and build are classic. The low contrast with high resolution at wide aperture give a special rendering many times. Distagon is optically better tool, 35cron is better ergonomically.

Nice city abstract as always.

Nice showcase of 35lux rendering and M9 color. I feel there are lots of similarity between M9 and S2 in terms of color. Generally speaking, S2 is more neutral to my eyes, file also feel more fidelity in similar situation.(subjectively speaking)
I love M9 color as well. though not false detail or false color from AA less sensor, many times the file feel a little crunchy to my eyes but I have spending long enough time with it to know how to deal with them most of time. It is still one of my favorite body.

That is nice. good news! I have been using loan unit of S2-P since the time I find my S2 has corrosion spots. Their service has been always good per my experience. I agree with Edward you should take advantage of trade to M240 if they give you good offer. I am patiently waiting corrosion happen to my M9 now for $3750 for a BN MP is a good deal I feel

Edward, the sonar's rendering is so beautiful.
ricardovaste, excellent capture. I like it.
Werner, Nice street scene.

At least some pics, a few from 28cron before

This is a beautiful shot. I notice a lot of specks in the sky. The closer I look, the more I see. This is how it started on my M-E when I had sensor 'corrosion' and subsequently had the sensor replaced.
