Gary, your outhouse is just killer. Such a nice shot I think you've inspired me to try a series, since I often see them in all states of repair once the snow is melting

Werner, very nice reflection.

Once in awhile I stop my 75lux down

Happy New Year to all!

Excellent pics from everyone, as always. I will try and catch up on this thread later. Haven't had time for photography or forums lately.

Congrats to Michael with the S setup!

Maybe I've been watching to many crime shows.. But having 100 fat ravens concern themselves with a large wood chipper is a bit worrying.

BTW, any close up shots of the 75lux stopped down to f/2?

It's been a long time, since I have posted some images! Have been for 11 days ski touring/snowshoeing in the Dolomites, where Sakima (my dog) and I had a wonderful time. We made every day tours from 900-1300 altitude meters with most of the times very windy weather. The worst we had, was winds from 40-50 km/h and -14°C, even the dog made him self as small as possible to stay warm, while I made the self-portrait on the summit.

It's a compost site, so there is lots to eat

yup, above is the notorious uhoh7, in the flesh...well on the screen anyway. You know this is a tough piece of glass, because the front element did not crack in this circumstance.

Joe - love the S2 shots. Your kid is a commander already?!? They really do grow up quick!
Peter - happy to see you posting your wonderful mountain landscapes. I have no problem being out in that weather but my kids sure do!
Charlie - great to see you! Taken with a 2/3 sensor camera I presume?

Thanks Gary. Yes, kids growing up fast. Those two kid portraits were with the M240 not the S2

Here's a few from last year with the S2 and Summarit-S 70, I can't recall if I shared these, apologies if they are a repost. When there is enough light (or a tripod), S2 and any of the S lenses are a lovely combo, the caveat is always "if" there is enough light

Peter - beautiful work, as always!

Here are a few of sunrise from the hotel balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean along the tourist hotel strip in Virginia Beach... a brief holiday from the holidays, while on holiday. It was generally deserted, which was great after being in NYC for a few days. Though if you don't like the sound of fighter jets constantly overhead, due to the nearby base(s), it might not be sufficiently serene (though they didn't seem to fly much, if at all, over the weekend).

Paul can we have S add to this thread so I feel less guilty to add S images here?

Peter, I enjoy your works, they are superb as always. and your dog is truly a good friend. Just adorable
Ron, #3 is a standout and can make a good print
Joe, Welcome back, look forward to more of your works. I enjoy first two studio like image. I have two wish for my future direction: one is a simple DIY studio setup and the other is setting up a big printer. Got some prints from online service recent and I really love them and need print more.
Werner, Nice composition! Again.

A few more night images. some from Leica Store SF

Thanks!

Enjoy your studio setup, its a nice to have a studo if you have the space. Be careful with lighting gear though, some of those studio "toys" are more expensive than Leica lenses I use PCB Einsteins, great value and really nice output for the price.

Printing is fun and challenging, what size of printer are you considering? The Epson 3880 and 4900 are very nice but I guess when you say big, you are looking at the 7900 or 9900? Lots of maintenance on the larger floor standing ones, you might want to consider an extended warranty as those clogged heads are costly to replace. The S2 files are gorgeous when printed large!
