@werner those interiors truly outstanding.
@ Edward love your black and white up there.
@ Gary this last set really excellent, my favorite so far on that theme

L1025486 by unoh7, 50 cron f/5.6 ish

we have very low light this time of year with a bunch of shadows, and clouds moving around quite a bit at the moment:

I should probably push a bit more above, but it really does seem dark under the clouds.

Here right out of the camera:

Thanks guys!

Gary - Good images from you too. It has been an enjoyable series! I'd hate to be doing a wedding/bridal shoot on that busy street in #2. Did you have time to watch the photographer at work?

Charlie - I really like the rendering of #4. 1 and 5 are also great.

Thank you Gary and Charlie!

Really like 2 and 5 Gary.
Lovely portrait in 5 Charlie. Great expression and light.

Guys, I need the help of your keen photographic eye. I tried several lens profiles for the ZM 35/2. Please let me know which one you think is the best, and whether it is worth it to do any corrections at all. Thanks!

All shot on tripod at f/8.

Edward: I would not use any of the profiles. Distortion is minimal, if necessary i would correct for color shift with LR flat field plugin and own reference shot.

Ron: The Leica production shots are not from a tour. There are 4 big windows from the visitor center to the production.

Thanks all for your positive words.

Thank you Werner! Indeed I don't find any of the profiles to be perfect. The biogon has almost zero distortion but the purple shift is clear though quite mild. I am tempted not to do anything about it but both 35 cron profiles seem to be close enough to me.

You are right Edward, if any profile, the second seems to me the best. If you care about the color shift (it is oc. not always necessary) i still suggest to use the LR FF plugin, for me the best and easiest way to clean up color shifts.

I'm really liking the contributions from everyone on this Leica thread and I'd like to share some images from Mexico with the ever enjoyable 28mm Elmarit ASPH. It's great to rediscover how liberating this lens is on the M-E with it's signature contrast in outdoor light (and even some indoor applications). All images taken at ISO160.

Edward - I personally would be quite happy with lens correction off but would choose the 35/2 asph if I had to. I can barely discern the color shift in your first shot but perhaps I am not very sensitive to it.

Thank you Gary! I'm probably being too picky. Going back to my sense and turning the correction off

Werner, thanks for your feedback. Love the PP on your last image.

Bcdano, welcome and very nice colorful set.

Edward - no profile and the second image seem to be the best with no green hue in the corners
bcdano - thanks for the trip to Mexico - love the colour, composition and microcontrast
Ron - thank you for doing the lens comparison with the Sony A7S have just come across it - you are probably the most objective reviewer on the subject of using rangefinder lenses on the Sony A& cameras- so good to see detailed tests rather mediocre reviews lacking any scientific basis. You are putting paid for review sites to shame.
Werner- love the results you are getting from the monochrome - I think that I may treat myself to a Xmas present...

Have been busy using film again in my Rolleiflex and Fuji 670W and scanning the negatives in with a Sony A7R and Rodenstock Enlarger lens. The results are great had forgotten how much fun film is.

More work at http://nicoimages.com and at the originals can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/nico1974

Still the DNG files from the Leica are very close to what I am getting from 120 film and in some respects a lot easier to post process

Just for fun a couple of B&W neg conversion from a Rolleiflex 3.5F

Thank you Nico and Joakim for your feedback.

Do you mean the cron or cron asph?

Nico, great set as usual. Nice to see your work after such a long while.

Don't remember if I posted this shot.. But was looking at some of my 75APO shots from this summer, and really love the lens!

(Does anyone else have a problem with viewing images, they all look soft once uploaded)
