TY Edward for kind words, I like your lens better all the time Also I like Philber's lens better too, the 18, which he showed me a few years back Well, come to think of it, I loved the zm18 on the nex-5n, and the 28 cron.

@ burningheart: one piece of advice: do not tell that vicious beast where your bird feeders are. Lovely capture.

Mountain Graffiti:

L1021230-3 by unoh7, 50 cron f/6.7

For Philber:

L1021313 by unoh7, ZM 18 f/9.5

There's something to be said for color photography

PS: @Joe more S2, please

Joakim, like that double sun-star effect, especially #2.
Allen, like #3, Reflection and expression on that cute boy
Katie, Superb!
Charlie, very nice portrait.

I think the right direction for digital medium format is option for higher ISO capability and live view rather than super fast lenses. Depth of field is shallower on the larger formats and going faster than f/2 will make lenses too large/heavy.

I think that is personal need difference Shooting experience is no question in favor to S, I especially dream about that OVF, the S2 vs D3X comparison in your link is pretty telling. That will be the key reason for me to get in if there is no fast glass for it.

I think you are right about MF future about ISO capability and LV, it looks that way. Big players have started using Sony MF sensor. (Though that is not what I want it head to ) I have hard time to take the fact that a FF equivalent f2 lens weight triple and priced quadruple no matter how good is if I am not print big, plus it won’t print much bigger than D810 now.

Saying this may purely because of sour grape and I am envy if money is no issue I have already been in. S is very sexy camera.

As for MF lust, I just can’t forget what I see from Contax645 and 80mmf2 lens, that is in my dream if it is digital.

Nice images from M240, especially #2 from ‘blue’ hour. Please do keep posting S2 images, sooner or later, one of us poor guys will fall in.

Joe, again you're tempting me so much I think the attraction of the S system is in the viewfinder and the wonderful lenses, and of course the SLR form which is much different to the M. I don't even consider it medium format, though. With it's just 1.25x factor, it is more like a slightly beefed up FF rather than MF.

Edward, don’t think too much, just buy it and let us know how you feel.(It must be great) Think after.

Or 810 might be calling: TBH, this is first camera body I feel close to perfect, looks like I might need AF lens to take advantage of it if not for cityscape or landscape.

A few images from 50lux ASPH from Vegas.

I usually like color but I'm slightly leaning towards black and white for this one.

Black and White mainly because the artwork on the ceiling and stairwell really standout. Very nice image Gary.

Gary, color. But I would try a "darker" or "moody" B&W look, bringing down overall exposure and midtones a notch and accentuate the highlights.

I agree, the Contax Zeiss 80/2 creates beautiful portraits. You could also get a Leica S-Contax AF adapter and shoot all of those Contax 645 lenses with AF on the S/S2 but you lose some of the 80/2 magic with Leica's crop factor.

Gary, sweet shots with the Nikkor. I think I need to raid my cabinet to look for mine, its a lovely lens!

As for your B&W pic, it may be a just a little low key in this 2nd example for me. I believe the ceiling motifs in the top center is the main subject/focal point? If so, I would consider dodging and lightening that ceiling back to somewhere closer to the original one you posted and also maybe a little dodging on the front two columns and the floor tiles to bring out some texture.

All said, these is no right or wrong way, I think, all of us have different ways to interpret B&W work. Both your B&W versions are nice and its an excellent picture (with an excellent lens )

Ansel Adams once said that "Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships" (Source: http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/a/anseladams161832.html)

I can see Flickr takes away quite a lot of sharpness, but here's a snapshot of my wife. This time with the 120mm, fully open, f2,5 @ 1/1000.
